The original white rabbit has a wrapper you can actually eat, it also a bit chewy. The local one doesn’t have a wrapper and it is very hard.
Probably it’s more expensive to manufacture the original recipe that I think still made in china
I had the original white rabbit before it was sooooo chewy that it'd stick to my mouth. At first, I even chew the wrapper out because it was sticking so hard with the candy, until my mother told me it's edible
there are still shops in shopee po which has edible wrappers, my brother bought some before. ☺
The old white rabbit candy has a wax paper/wrapper and is very soft and chewy
This is what i was talking about!! I always knew white rabbit was chewy and a plastic edible to eat with. But my cousins really debated with me. I knew I was right.

It's understandable that they give a lot of low score. Since me personally I am snack fanatic before, I noticed that this snacks showed in this video, especially the Lumpia snack and Cheese ring taste different before and now. Before when I was young, Lumpia is kinda cheesy and not that hard to bite I swear, but the lumpia now is hard and less cheese, it's kinda sad to taste your childhood snack very different now 😅
Some of snacks that I noticed changed its taste/texture is Boy bawang, Tattoos, Sweet Corn, Fish crackers and many more, I swear the old ones are better.
Yeah inflation and supply are the main problems.

These are literally my favourite snacks back when I was a kid 😆 not a 90’s kid but I’m pretty sure kids these days still loves these (even my younger sister does hehe)

I've never heard of most of these snacks but then again I was only able to try a few candies when we lived there. White rabbit and flat tops were our favorites. We were more of a chips and pastries type of family 😆 but I remember eating a type of candy that was inside a bamboo. I don't remember the name but it tasted like honey to me. We lived in Rizal, so if anyone knows what candy it was let me know 😊
The candy inside the bamboo is called "SUNDOT KULANGOT"

I remembered while working on a bpo company a coworker brought MikMik and shared with everyone in our team. I was happily eating when a call came in - I panicked and literally almost died because of choking by MikMik 😅🤣🤣🤣

Lumpia Shanghai used to be really cheesy. I always intend to accumulate cheese powder on my fingers before I lick them all. Lol. It also lights up when you put it on fire. It's totally unhealthy at all.

See!! I know white rabbit was chewy and milky and there's an edible plastic to eat with. I ate those chewy ones and that was my favorite candy then one day it became hard and there's no edible plastic anymore. I was today years old that hard ones were fake white rabbit.
