It's pretty true that Alex is the lesser hero. Before I started playing Minecraft, the only entities I knew about were Creepers, Enderman, Blazes and Steve.

This was actually a lot better than I expected, even got me a bit emotional. The narrative sounds like a documentary, and the style reminds me of minercaft machinimas. There wasn't any buildup for Alex feeling like a side-kick, though - it didn't really feal like she minded until this point. (except for maybe the "nothing is gonna happen to me with you by my side")
I also like the idea of players actually being connected to the villagers, being their protectors. And the story explaining why villagers can't build.

The closest thing I’ve ever gotten to giant Alex was I was playing with my friend and then I saw that it said in the chat “Mimi9591 has joined the game.” And so my friend or me didn’t know who that was, I went over to talk to them and they wouldn’t talk , they disappeared (not literally I just couldn’t find them) My friend pointed out a sign that said “Last chance” and so we took it down but that wasn’t the end. We walked away from it and we saw Forest fires sarting (this is all in Minecraft don’t worry) and then we saw another sign on top of a tree that said “Run” we went back to the base we made and hid in the loot room we heard explosions and we see that player. This time with TnT. They blew up our houses and then soon after this creepy shrine with many skeleton skulls and armor stands. In the middle was barrels, Idk what that was has this happened to anyone??
