When I was a kid playing this game I thought everyone knew she was a girl until she revealed otherwise

Ghost yeah but there isn’t anything too bad in it it’s a fun pirate game and awesome ship battles and a cool story I’m glad I played it as kid

@@xLetalis Oh in the game she died that's what I was referring to. In real life she and Annie escaped. See one their father's had influence and paid some money and took them and children from the prison . They supposedly raised them in seclusion and secret as history stops there. Interesting fact it's believed that Jack Rackham was the father of both women's children . Especially not a random dude they uh had threesomes with Jack . I guess he wasn't Geralt Haha 😉
The game was actually faithful to their story minus a few changes for the game.

@@angelofchoasdeath Yeah sorry but she didnt escape. Died in that prison of a fever, was buried on April 28th, 1721, most likely still pregnant. There are records at a Jamaican church.
The scene where she dies and Edward has to carry her through all the guards was really heartbreaking...although as I recall it was optional to carry her or let her corpse stay in the dungeon.

Didn't even know that was optional tbh. Either way that shouldn't even be optional in my opinion. Heartless for one, plus she was a true friend, she deserves better than just to be left there.

Bluboi Lugos the best part of the game was when Edward changed his path after marry read's death i liked him more in sequence 11 and 12 sadly they didn't even add a dlc after Edward left the west indies some says it lacks story according to Edward's short life but seriously who knew that ubisoft would make a dlc for Arno after

@@masoodgh1131 yes that when I started to like him too. After she died he attitude and state of purpose changed making him more likeable. It is truly sad that there wasn't any dlc for Edward, just for adewale which was fun but too short. I can't speak on unity (didn't interest me) as I never played it. Enjoyed syndicate though.

Mary Read's death was actually one of the saddest video game deaths I'd seen in a long time.
I am used to characters being played by female voice actors especially when they younger boys... so him being a woman never crossed my mind.

xLetalis Mary’s real life was even more tragic than depicted in this game.
what was it
xLetalis well a few years after she was born her father went to sea and never returned IIRC. Therefore in order to live her mother raised her as a boy so she could work and have extra income. At around 16 she joined a merchant ship. I want to say it was a couple of months while on that ship it was attacked by Calico Jack and was pressed into service. This is when she met Anne Bonny who had left her husband to run off with Calico Jack. And it was Anne who found out that Mary was a woman and they became friends who were the only two crewmen sober when Calico Jack’s ship was captured (which is why in game Anne tells him “if you fought like a man you wouldn’t have died like a dog” a real quote). And the game does a good job of finishing the story with her dying soon after childbirth. So her life was one bad turn after another.

Edward is the best AC protagonist. A lot of that’s because of how great Matt Ryan voiced him.
When I first saw James I was like damn he looks very nice, hot, And I was thinking what the hell is wrong with me cause I'm a straight guy. Then he reveals himself as she and I was like thanks the God there is nothing wrong with me lol. Mary Read the most memorable character in the whole franchise.

14 year old me was even more confused. I was attracted to James and was confused because he wasn't the type I usually liked (or so I thought). When it was revealed that it was a woman, I was even more confused. Cut to 3 years later when I realized that I'm a lesbian 🤷♀️

While black flag isn't really an AC game, it is a damn good pirates game, filled with memorable characters
Well it tells of how Edward came to be a Grand master of the Assasins' order later on , and the challenges he faced. Also how his character turned around 180 degrees.
It is an AC game. Focused more on character development and story than the actual Creed and did it well.
bio chemical It doesn't reveal those things in black flag. Also he wasn't a Grand Master later in life, rose to the rank of master assassin.

Me when it was revealed: Oh my! I never saw that one coming! James was so rough looking and had the most manly body and voice! I simply cannot believe it!
