You have the straps configured wrong for the shoulder you have it on. When you sling it in the front the bag should sit level and not at a downward angle. Good review nonetheless!

I recently grabbed this bag a couple weeks ago and I pulled out the middle dividing wall. I have to make a few modifications to the bag and then it will be a perfect EDC bag for me.

And the bottle opening being on the opposite side AWAY from me is a deal breaker. It will drive me nuts with that kind of orientation - being a frequent water guzzler living in 24/7 tropicalia. Thank you for the review! Does using the water bottle pouch take away from the main compartment volume (like in 5.11 LV10)? Also, do you feel like the boxiness of the bag bother you? I kinda wish there’s a side compression strap
If you mean the water bottle pocket at the bottom, it does NOT take away from the main compartment. But just be careful not to have the bottle falls out. Yes the shape is boxy. But because it is not that large, it is not that noticeable. If you like more organic shape, this is not the sling to use.

It can only fit up to a 26oz - 750ml bottle.
