      @@collegemoneymethod Hello! My daughter will be graduating from high school in May 2023 and she wants to start college in the summer right after. What FAFSA year form does she needs to apply and what year for W2 form? Thank you 😊

      These questions will only appear based on your previous answers for AGI. The FAFSA is now adapts the form so you may not have the opportunity to answer every question.

    Are you sure I should put on campus as my housing option? Since Im staying with my parents and I don't want to mess anything up

      Great question. What housing you choose determines how the college calculates your cost of attendance for financial aid. Generally speaking the cost of attendance is higher is you live on campus versus at home which can result in more financial aid. You can check this at the college’s website.

    Since my mom is 93, I was added to her savings account which is mainly her social security deposits. Would I have to report this on the FAFSA form? Thanks

      No, these would not be included as your assets. Particularly if your mom is receives the 1099 and reports her earning on her tax forms.

    I have some questions:
    1) On parent information, it asks me if my parents
    completed any kind of tax return in 2021.
    But we only came 5 months ago in America,
    in 2021 we weren't here. Do I choose "Not going to file"?
    2) Do I have to skip the questions about my
    and my parents' income and taxes? because
    I'm not sure if it's asking about 2021, at that time
    we weren't here.

    3) Before the section 7 begins, it says:
    You're not done yet!
    You still need to submit your FAFSA® form. After you print this page, select "Continue" to sign your FAFSA form.
    Do I have to print that page? (I'm not sure because the form isn't ended at that time)
    4) It asks me about my driver's license,
    but I have a permit, do I just put my
    permit ID?

    Thank you for making this video. It was a bit unclear since I don't have schedule 2 from the taxes I was given from my parents. They aren't able to help me, so for the question of line 22 - schedule 2 line 2 (don't remember clearly), I basically put ex: 2 - 0 = 2.

    • @collegemoneymethod
      @collegemoneymethod  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you don't have a Schedule 2, then yes, you put a 0 for that calculation.

    Where can you get the tax form?

    • @collegemoneymethod
      @collegemoneymethod  ปีที่แล้ว

      You use the 1040 form and accompanying schedules from your 2021 Federal taxes you filed. You may have a paper or electronic copy. You can also use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to automatically pull your taxes from the IRS.

      @@collegemoneymethod Thank you very much for 1. Answering my question and your channel in general I don't think you will ever realize how much it helps students and our families thank you, because some students don't have access to these things in school and at home so thank you
