- Governor Gavin Newsom steps up and gets his hands dirty, personally helping to clear a homeless encampment in LA County. "With all due respect, there's no more excuses... Where's the urgency?" he asked while helping clear a Mission Hills encampment. But his executive order to remove all encampments is sparking controversy. LA Mayor Karen Bass argues it criminalizes homelessness without offering real solutions, and the LA County Board of Supervisors refuses to use jails as housing. LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger joins FOX 11 to respond.

They totally cheated on the recall vote. Ballot envelopes had the peek-through hole right over where people checked YES to recall him. They found bins of ballots in a creek. We recalled him, but as usual, they cheat.
No he isn't. The 9th District Federal Court banned him from removing homeless from public property. The Supreme Court recently lifted the ban after he appealed it to them
Newsom and the people who voted for him need to step up and provide a solution for these folks.

Rehab and shelters have been available for a long time. That is a solution...but not a solution on their terms. Druggies gonna drug. If they can't, they don't even want to hear about that option.

Like when I was in that situation nothing would have made me unhomless faster than 10 grand.... Hell, even 4. I'd have been off the street in under a week. We don't need shitty homless shelters that are already full, more food than we can carry with us that we may not have a way to properly prepare or store, not decriminalized fentanol, or any of these "non-profits" that literally never ever help (seriously, called all of them multiple times, never ever got anything out of any of them. They all just tell you to call other non-profits, who just tell you to call other non-profits, and so on.). We need money. Nobody knows what homeless people really need but them.... And nobody ever wants to give them what would really make a difference.....

Someone needs to send him a picture of the encampment that pops back up after he leaves. This has been an issue that has built up over the last number of years of his term in office.
He should copy what the SF mayor is doing and send these homeless away with bus tickets to places somewhere else to go. They’re sending homeless people back to Oregon, Arizona, or Humboldt county over here in SF

California gets plenty of money but the counties do not what to do their part. Especially here in L.A. county. The mayor is useless. We have a lot of abandoned buildings that can be use for shelters. But no one seems to care. The mayor rather see them in the streets than for her to do her job She was elected to do. She simply does not care because she doesn’t have them in her area. Every time someone gets near her house she removes them and sends them to LA. I hope that Gavin does what he said and not give her any money. Let’s see if she is willing to get her ducks in a row.

How come they don’t make the homeless people clean up these places. They could pay them, offer some affordable housing so they’re off the streets themselves.
