Thank you very much for a climbing video in a downhill-centered world. It is really satisfying to clean (or watch someone clean) a technical climb. Keep the chunky sections coming!
You all prolly dont give a shit but does anybody know a tool to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot the login password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Duke Neil thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Look like you had such a good group of accomplished riders. That must’ve been a lot of fun to show them some pointers. All the people in the group looked eager to learn and not afraid to try anything!
Jeff, please come back and do another class. This is a monthly ride for me, cleaning bitterbrush is a major goal of mine. It would be great to ride with you on that trail. Maybe even a full video of the class. The video definitely makes it look easier than it is. Bad ass riding!!!
I'm not sure how I ended up here, but I saw your upload from your interview with channel 12(?) news. Thank you for stating that the helmet is the most important apparatus for a bike rider. I see so many riders (in this sport) and showjumping (my other sport) riding without one. I don't get it-messing up one's hair for a few hours is better than a concussion or worse. Plus wearing a ball cap afterwards makes one look cool (IMO). So, thank you for that broadcast that reached many more viewers than I can reach! Great channel--lots of things to learn from, so I subscribed!.
I am very inspired by your climbing technique videos. Thanks a lot for sharing this with us. Unfortunately we don't have anything like this in the Netherlands. Since a few weeks, I find myself scanning the environment in an effort to find features in my area that are challenging for me to climb. :)
Thank you! Very good info and tips Jeff. I really wanted to make it up from CO Springs for the ride but this was the weekend we moved into our new house and I was beat! I'll be revisiting this one for sure.
Great Vid. I'm lean strongly towards the more technical trails. Having taken to a 29er the big loss is the ability to pop a 29er up this type of trail. Will be getting a set of 27.5 wheels this Xmas to get my mojo back on those rock climbing trails again.
So many super skilled riders around Lyons. My problem with climbing Bitterbrush is running out of gas. Get out of breath these days and don’t have the power for the moves. You make it look easy.
Cleaning Bitterbrush is really really challenging. My best advice is really resting and recovering when you can. If there's a break in the steep terrain or tech stuff take advantage of it!
Jeff Lenosky I live in New Hampshire but will be moving to Montana in less than 2 years. We have some great rides in NH, VT and Mass with Mass being the more tech of the three I think.
Hey Jeff. Great video, as always. Yours are some of the most informative and useful videos out there. Would you happen to have any clinics coming up in New Jersey area? Or the Northeast in general for that matter. I'd be more than willing to travel to attend one of your clinics.
Awesome vid! Given your experience w urban riding, how about a video on sustained stair climbs? Like how to actually pedal up the stairs. I stall or the rear wheel spins out after I use up the momentum at about 8 stairs. Also how to get some air when going down. Thanks!
Jeff: Terrific as always! Curious as to your MTB shoe choice and pedal choice as I'm contemplating transitioning from flat pedals to clips. Would like to feel comfortable being able to "get off" the bike quickly when required, but still having the good connection that clips give. Plus, I'm 71 and my knees would appreciate some float! :-)
I think you can't go wrong with a Shimano shoe and a mutli release cleat. I've ridden lots of different brands but the interface between shimano shoes and pedals is the best.
I am a 70 year old veteran mountain biker and I have been riding Shimano clipless for 25 + years. I have used the multi release SH 56 M cleat since it was introduced and highly recommend it for technical trail riding.
Jeff, for these types of climbs, since you were standing, do you have the fork and shock in open squish or it should be just in the middle "firm" mode? (Not completely locked out)
Daniel Stolworthy if I can carry momentum I try to hop and give pedal pressure fo keep moving. If I come to a complete stop I’ll grab my brakes so I don’t roll backwards.

@Duke Neil it worked and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thanks so much, you really help me out :D
That was a fun day!!! Thanks for taking time to come out and show us how it’s done.
I love the fact you take time to help riders no matter there skill level! Great vid!
Jonathan mtb I love it!

It looks like everyone in the class was a boss on those rocks. That's the coolest part of the video. Nice job as always, Mr. Lenosky.
These riders all did awesome!
Climb clinic! Exactly what I needed! Thanks, Jeff. I love tech climbing!
Thanks Jim

Found your video on Mountain project, Such a good straight to the point video, keep up the pace. Thanks for posting.
Thanks! Just what I wanted to see after your riding drops vid...
Really miss that trail...used to live right down the road in Longmont. Rode there and back often.
Your always an inspiration to others. Keep up the positive vibes and videos.🤟

how tall are you? what size bike do you ride?
5.7. using a pimped GT sensor 29er which carves corners well and jumps nicely, but I have lost the ability to throw it over technically rocky climbs.
Hi Jeff, thanks for posting this, hope you can make more how-to videos! 🍻🍻
findtherightbeat that’s for watching. Subscribe so you catch them all
@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss Looking forward to your future videos!

That was gold as usual, Jeff! Keep it up!
Thanks Raheem!
@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss I rode Brown County Indiana last Saturday! Epic
Super helpful as usual 🙏🏼Would LOVE to attend one of these in my lifetime. Bucket list stuff😊
I'm putting together a website so all that info will be in one place, but follow along on here for updates too. Where do you live?

Wow I learned something, thank you Jeff. Awesome 👍🏼

Дмитрий Кузнецов hallo comrade

Awesome vid!

ooof, tht sounds like a good challenge!!
Awesome video really enjoyed it!

Hats off from a 54 year old! BTW, I have been toying with the same idea myself.
Yo, Bubba: Let's see if/when we get some advice!! Ride on!

I typically keep my suspension in "Trail" mode or the middle position. This allows me to have better traction on terrain and better success.
@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss great to know, thanks man!
🕵️♂️I see a Mr. Flannigan making a cameo 🤘
Hey Jeff, you have some mad skills! I"m Curious on how much Travel you have on your bike for the rear and fork?
Great video!
Thank you
Mad skills!!
Ricky Downhill - RDH thanks
Good shit!
How much fun would this be.
Jeff when are you going to be in the Tri-State area
When you get in a situation where you've come to a stop, do you grab your breaks for those moments you're launching forward by hopping?
Daniel Stolworthy if I can carry momentum I try to hop and give pedal pressure fo keep moving. If I come to a complete stop I’ll grab my brakes so I don’t roll backwards.
Like a boss!
Insane skills!! The video doesn’t capture the size of these features.
Which is better 29er or 27.5 for tech climbs?
2:45 seat pie? :-)
🙀
Your bike looks small for your body size, sort of like a trials bike. Is it?
No, I'm just Ginourmous. I'm 6'4" so I make all my bikes look small. It's a size XL 27.5
I have you by 2" love the sport, the advent of 29" wheels and the newer geometry I just love being my height.
