Worth a try Rhys. I bought some packs of 10 blacks soaked in oil & vacume packed from eBay - almost a year ago now. They've lived in the top of the fridge since last November.. Soaked up most of the oil, - but still pretty intact & leathery. Very castable without exploding into a cloud of bits. eBay reckoned they'd last about 4 months in the fridge; I beg to differ. 😀👍🍀🐟
I've been doing this for about 4 year 👍 only I dont squeeze any guts out. Roll them up, stop vac pack machine just before it's to tight and seal . When re hooking they ooze all the guts etc and just like you got them from beach. 👍
Hi, beef can be hung out In oxygen for up to a month and sometimes is in good butchers. You usually find that supermarket steak (mass produced) doesn't have the time and costing for storing it refrigerated hanging to mature. It is packaged and processed quickly therefore I believe it can be left to mature in the pack. Thanks for all the vids anyway mate.
G,day cobber found video interesting been doing vacuum packing squid and whole fish baits 4 some time works well good luck with the lug .Happy catching from AUSTRALIA Nick
Liked the tutorial, would it be worth freezing some vac packed ones to compare with your other worms ? I'm no scientist but I guess the vac doesn't stop the normal decaying !
For many years I used to keep blacks in the fridge for 4 days. Wrap them in clingfillm ( Rolled) then freeze them. In tens. The smelly blacks would outfish the fresh ones. They will last for years.. Give it a try you have nothing to lose!
nice to finally meet you today at worthing pier how did the session go btw u left before i could ask i had a few doggies and a strap least your worms still look better than prime angling are selling gotta love worthing worms :)
You prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost the login password. I love any tips you can offer me.
@Elliott Ellis i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
I took the worms from the paper, Lightly salted them and put them in the bag loose before the vacuum process. kept them in the fridge for about 6 months before using them and they was ok.
Try again in food wrap, cling film stuff.. it's got to work... The paper could absorb the moisture from the worm while under vacuum and help it to go off...
Fishing shoreham beach (church) fish are definitely following the Government Advice by social distancing 🤪 only come out to try my repaired Zzippy out though so not a complete waste of time
Mate..... U could be onto something! Be interested to see how it goes! Keeping the oxygen away from castors works, they last or ages... Why not with worm... Worth a crack! Hope u had a good day at the coast! And the worm worked... Another match for me tomorrow... Look forward to the vid mate, maybe some bearded unicorns.....

I wouldn’t be surprised if a few tackle shops start catching on and doing it Rhys. You will have to patent it so you can make a few Bob lol
Great idea Rhys onto a winner I reckon. Tight lines.

Roll them up, stop vac pack machine just before it's to tight and seal .

Hi there Rhys, when you vacuumed the lug, did you refrigerate them ot tuppaware store.them. Good try. Thanks.
I just checked them in the fridge as they were mste
Kept cool then. A good idea an shared. Thanks. In a bit. Hey.
Could it be so thing to do with the ink on the paper to? How about try with just some dry sand 🤷♂️

Nice one again rhys mate
Great tip mate. Shame it didn't work I always vacuum pack them when I freeze them down so they don't get freezer burn
Maybe if you lay them out so it can wrap around each worm maybe it work better just a thought
Ive been vac sealing them for years and freezing then
Worth a try

That’s a very good point
@@mrcodling9527 thank you
Maybe soak the paper with a spray bottle before vacuum packijg..God knows lol
The steak is not wrapped in newspaper. The juice gos in tbe paper , i think. Why not try with only wurm ... then see what happens.
Good shout
Thats ideal bait in coloured water, smellier the better.
Brilliant bit of thinking mate , shame it didn't work as you'd hoped
Well worth a go mate
try salting beforehand ?? gl
I thought it would have worked better than that but at least you could still use them
I could smell those from here!

I reckon if you froze them after vac packing them they would of been a lot better
Definitely mate but I didn't want frozen or salted that's the thing I wanted fresh but It didn't hurt trying I spose
Freeze them like crab rhys from being fresh not in paper and don't let them touch, better conditioned frozen.
You need to Patent this QUICK !!!!! $$$$ TO BE MADE THERE MATE.
Never mind it was worth a try
