    Toe’s all good?
    Too bad Dale’s tire blew out ‘cause I’d like to have seen him have another go on that gnarly section of 5th Horseman.
    In his video this week, he had the same reaction as you to that steep, rocky right-hander near the end of Lower Trunk Monkey. Says to me that it must be ghost-pepper spicy. I admire you guys for safely riding through stuff like that on your first go at new trails. Key point - keep it safe!

  • @-tr0n

    Love to see it!
    This is what the shore used to be, hell all BC trails. No Trespassing signs included! We were on medium frame hard tails with hydraulic rim brakes (or earley Hayes 6" that could barely lock up) and forever cracked head tubes. Had to cut my bars down to about 680mm on my new bike to stop getting bar strikes riding skinnies on Fromme. It was mandatory to pull your outer ring and throw a bash guard on because you were guaranteed to smash logs and rocks with your chainring.
    All my experience is here and my brain is stuck in jank mode forever, makes trying to get back into it and shopping for new bikes really weird.

    • @tonyjofenig6833
      @tonyjofenig6833 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Those trails were built for bars of all sizes, the narrow trees were left to force you to stall and maneuver through them (no matter your bar width). Just another feature of the old school Shore riding.

    Yeah I have a trail like that near me. It always seems like I was way faster on it 10 years ago. I finally realized it's because its an old illegal trail only recently adopted. The corners are very tight and there are several tight goal posts in awkward places. Definitely built for shorter bikes with smaller wheels and narrow bars

    • @abccanada6248
      @abccanada6248 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The glaze is an oil they use for packaging and storing the pads. Spraying them with break cleaner or isopropyl will dissipate the oil or a few passes with some sandpaper will take the oil off water doesnt tend to do very much tho.

      @@AmericanRustWorker3369 Yes, I believe today is the last day restaurants are closed though, not sure about the border? Squamish is amazing too, lots of slabs and it is on the way to Whistler. Also, Whistler has a lot of stuff other than doing lifts at Whistler Mountain. If you go north 45 minutes into Pemberton, again, lots of crazy stuff there too. The Sunshine coast if you hop on the Ferry from Horseshoe bay to Gibsons is great as well. Between Gibsons and Sechelt there is a huge amount of trails. Plus the Sunshine Coast is laid back and chill and is generally a great area to go and hang out on the beach. It really is never ending around here and people are friendly and helpful. I cry on most of the hard stuff and pick my way down, ha ha. There is something for everyone though.

Well, except for a few days of the year. Riding is the snow isn't that bad either, I love it. So many people do it as well that the trails have many tracks in them so you know what is coming.
