To put their skill level into context, as Americans/Canadians being brought up in an environment where K-Pop isn't a big part of the culture nor something they grew up training for, these were all very raw, non-trainee amateurs up until about a year ago, I believe-- the blond girl in particular does not appear to have danced much prior to that, period, and this is their first official debut song. With that in mind, most are very impressed by the rapid improvement they've shown in a short period of time. Only the youngest looking one is Korean American.
Edit: The only other song of theirs I can think of with moments of atypical choreography would probably be "Ready For the World".

Vcha was formed through JYP's A2K (America 2 Korea) survival show. Girls of the Year is their debut single! All members are American or Canadian. There is one Korean-American which is Kaylee 14 years old, Camila is Cuban-Canadian 18 years old, Lexi is Hmong from America 18 years old, Kendall from America is half white half Vietnamese 17 years old, Savanna from America is African-American and Venezuelan 17 years old, and KG from America is white 16 years old. They just opened for Twice in Mexico and Brazil and will be opening Twice's Las Vegas show later this month.

Thank you for your honesty. After looking up what you have reacted to, i would like to see more shinee (everybody and sherlock) and if you haven't hear from them 2PM have good choreography too. I love 2nd gene. And maybe take a look at nmixx. You can see the gymnastic choreos there too.

As you rightly noted VCHA's choreo falls squarely within the arc of kpop which says nothing other than it is western modern and popular dance whose main influences are American and JYP et all have nurtured it into a distinctive South Korean vernacular.
The dance motions may appear simplistic but the movements are fast, highly energetic and there is considerable difficulty at that pace successfully executing that number of formations. In just over two minutes I noted for examples diagonal marching line, separating into a relay between two groups of three, a bridge, a tower, floor rotations, reverse parrallel heel kicks, rotating and counter-rotating circles, that quick back-and-forth slap with KG and I could go on. And what caught your eyes was the girl's ethnicity. Not sure in my mind how that applies to choreo but maybe you will explain one day.
I really think VCHA girls deserved better from an expert and wish you would try again. I wouldn't be surprised personally to see their dance become prize-winning for originality and execution and most importantly of all delivering on their vision -- young pre-teen and teen girls daring to have big, bold dreams and finding the courage to chase them down with passion and determination

Feel a tad let down, was expecting an 'expert' opinion but instead of the promised honesty and truth you made no commentary whatsoever on the various parts and execution of the dance. I've watched far less qualified commentators than yourself pickup on the floor work and the formations and noted aloud words like triangle, lines, parrallel, collapse, rolled away in places where you merely voiced 'this is cool' ergo I learned nothing new from your expert broadcast.
