    Airosft is definitely LARPing but it's (typically) a pretty mild version of it.

      Eeehhh, it depends for sure

      @dfhellraiser4td Most "LARP," games, for sure the most popular ones (Amtgard, Dagorhir, and Belegaeth) are way more about the fighting and cool looking gear than the stigmatized view of dudes who refuse to break character and take it way too far, just like the vast majority of airsoft people, who are also lumped in with the cringe cases who take it too far. I do both and have for going on two decades. It's uncanny how the two communities are almost identical despite appearances.

    While you may not wanna use a real steel cleaning rod, I’m sure real steel patches would run great through an inner barrel as well! Most gun stores sell them by the hundreds for under $10

    i made an electronic flash grenade years back using photography flash bulbs. had to roll them into places to avoid breaking the bulb on impact but the were a great night game asset

    Hey there Jonathan, I´m really happy that you´ve revived this "show". You helped me a lot when I was new to airsoft two years ago :D, so It´s already kinda nostalgic i guess xd. Either way, now I´m running my own YT channel and I´d like to submit it to your video recommendation. It´s a really small channel, but I am trying to upload semi-regularly at least every month :D. Thank you once more .

    Hey Jonathan! It was so cool being a part of the “live studio audience” and now seeing the final product. Really love the idea and looking forward to the next one!
    Going off of the e-grenades question from this week, I would love to see more technology get introduced into the sport. Player/Objective apps like DesertFox’s Blue Fox Tracker, magazine shot counters, or even Bluetooth tuning options for your gun would be amazing if they were more widespread. I’m still waiting for a working Halo or Battlefield style HUD… get on it Meta!
    PS. If I may be so bold, I would love to submit my channel for the Video Recommendation of The Week for some recreational, Canadian airsoft content. There are a number of great folks in the frozen North who I’d be more than happy to reference as well!

    The t238 flash grenade has three directional LEDs that are super bright and has a speaker in the bottom and it's been activated it has programmable second detonation with audio warning

    My take on larping like a viking or sof(airsoft) at a event for a weekend is living and fighting as a unit without getting stabbed or getting shoot at with live ammo
    Plus meeting like minded people is always nice for feedback on gear.

      I feel like Airsoft is less roleplaying than LARP. In larp you really play a character you invented. You embody it. In Airsoft it's people who buy stuff they want and wanna play pretend like they are (still) in the military. I feel like LARPers take themselves less seriously as a whole, but in airsoft there are tons of people who are just amazingly funny, too.

  • @traphimawari7760
    @traphimawari7760 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    I don't even know what a Larp is I just like to play pretend, we all allowed to dream and imagine that's probably the only thing in our lives that we have the freedom to do and I ain't gonna let that be oppressed, and I swear this upon the power of the 2nd amendment

    • @RavenStorm332
      @RavenStorm332 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's what a LARP is as it stands for Live Action Roleplay though most LARPs are going to be re-enactments of RL past wars like I saw one that was of the Vietnam War the event looked interesting as you camp out and play airsoft

      Ain't no one tryna oppress your plastic toy gun game brother. quit trying so hard to be a victim. You're a larper of a different kind playing a game, not some constitutional martyr. RELAX

    I should start working more on my Operator Russkie TH-cam channel. A channel for Airsoft AKs and likeness. I just got a GHK AK and Daytona. I might make a contrast and compare video review accompanying some gameplay with my GHK, Daytona, P*s, and my partly built AEGs.

    It's the difference between Campaign and Multiplayer, IMO ; MilSim is LARPing, sunday game is goofing around and a BBQ.
    There's a "hardcore" mode LARP event here in France where the scenarios are connected and past events influence the next one.Though it's not followed that seriously. Most of the time the players are always different, and maybe a handful are sticking to the script ad are ready to travel country-wide to attend every event. I tried a day to check it, and the organisers are doing their best to offer the best experience and big active on the field too.
    But that's too much commitment for me... I'm more a Sunday, once a month kinda guy. Team A vs Team B, and get the most fun out of the day.

    Just a quick question, If I were to use a GBB pistol as my main in a cqb arena, how many mags would I need to be most efficient? By the way, the pistol I use is the Proforce p320 M17.
    Thanks!

    I have a question regarding airsoft shotguns, why can’t there be spring powered shotguns that eject the shells? I know nerf has it which is pretty cool and I want a shotgun that doesn’t make me worry about gas. If there are any shell ejecting spring powered shotguns out there please let me know. Thank you!

    I think you hit the nail on the head with LARPing. I agree that Milsim is definitely LARPing, but that's not a bad thing! If it's something you truly enjoy doing, then there is no reason to doubt yourself or be hesitant to participate because of whatever "labels" might be associated with it.

    Does anyone make an NPAS for the new updated PTS/KWA Radian Model 1? As mine shoots way above field limits (450 to 430 FPS) and I'd like to run this as my primary.

    I would have to say so, I've been larp ing fourty years plus. ( SCA Paintball, old west re enacting, now Airsoft) I think it's a positive activity. I've been able to understand a little about other people in other times because of this activity.

    Milsim is modern larping. At Ballahack we do actual larp events a few times a year. Wild west, Post apocalyptic, zombie events. They are a few of the most fun events I've done. Building the story and working through the story and creating your own story within it.

    Hi together! I would like to contribute my TTT (Trouble in terrorist Town) gameplays videos here for the video recommendation of the week. Once a month I host this game mode as a conclusion to a Milsim game day in an old power plant in Germany. I think it is important to promote such modes as well, as they are very beginner friendly. 80% feel for the game, only 20% skill for shooting.

    Do you think Gel Blasters are good for airsoft or are they taking would be new players?

    • @noahmc7804
      @noahmc7804 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think gel blasters definitely attracts young newer players because it doesn’t not paint in paintball and don’t come with the non bio gel ammo like Airsoft. I think I could be a good alternative to those who are hesitate in playing airsoft and for those who can not play airsoft.
