August 2,1776 to July 1st 2024.
On this day in History, July 1, 2024, the People of The United States, were suddenly and deliberately attacked by Treasonous Forces within their own Government. Overnight, the American People lost the Freedoms they all had grown up with, fought and died for, and loved, for the last 248 years. Everything that America was, is no more. The loss of all of their Freedoms, and the Utter Destruction of their Constitution, have left the great American People, in Shock, Disbelief, Horror, and very much Heartbroken. It was always thought by them, that it would have to be another Military, to ever destroy their Democracy. Turns out, it only took their own Treasonous Government. Tens of Thousands of Brave American Heroes have done all they could do, to Honor their Oath To Protect and Defend The Constitution of the United States, Our Freedoms and Our Democracy, for the last 248 years. But sadly, they have now lost that battle. All have died in Vain. The American Government is now, what all of those Brave American Heroes fought against. It is not known why the American People were Betrayed and so Viciously Attacked by their own Government, and it is not known what America will become from here. All that we know for now is that America, will not be a Free and Democratic Nation, anymore. America now has no Constitution, or the Rule of Law to protect them from tyranny. This is a very sad day for the American People, and indeed, for the World.

We shouldn't settle for just anyone who claims to support democracy; we need leaders who are both committed to democratic principles and capable of effectively governing. Nowhere in the constitution does it say a president has complete immunity. That ruling is bogus and should be ignored.
The people actually have a constitutional right within the 10th Amendment to ignore that ruling with the full extent of the law behind us.

I think the part he read at the beginning of the video is actually the strongest argument that the president does have immunity according to the constitution UNLESS he is Impeached and Convicted -
"Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law."
What it says is that impeachment and conviction itself does not make the president guilty of a criminal act, but it removes his immunity

Trump and all 3 ruled in his for against trump employees and suppliers. Because of their prior involvement with him, they should have recused themselves. They are biased biased on his "owing" favors for which all now have SC jobs. When I served jury duty in NJ, the judge on the case I was to hear was a friend. he had to recuse himself and so did I.

Yes, they did it to help Trump - they're all completely in Trump's pocket and I have to say, this guy feels a bit overly optimistic, to me. I feel that Trump will just invoke the Insurrection Act, day one, and use his newfound "powers" to simply order paramilitaries or some such to round up/kill political opponents, then pardon them when or if they're charged, etc. I have zero faith that Trump will go slow. He _might,_ but I actually don't see it.
I think the fact that Roberts concurred and authored this utterly unconstitutional opinion, when before he was being quite restrained by not even concurring in overturning Roe says everything people need to know. We are truly on the precipice of outright fascism in the United States, and I appreciate this guy's sunny optimism that democracy will continue to function, but if Trump wins - it will not, at all - and I'm not even sure that the current SCOTUS will "allow" any Biden/dem victory to occur, wherein they'll just overturn victories in whatever close state(s) won them the election (because if the Dems win, it'll be close in the states that matter).

In context of immunity - I read it to say that impeachment and conviction itself do not make the president guilty of a criminal act, but it removes his immunity making him subject to indictment. How can it possibly be read any other way? It actually supports the ruling.
BTW Article 1 Section 3 of the constitution is specifically about explaining the rules and the role of the senate - and this paragraph is about what happens after the senate convicts... which never happened with Trump.
Basically, impeachment is like "charging" him for doing something wrong, and then the senate decides guilt or innocence of the charges brought by the house... except this process is political and not criminal. They can impeach for any reason whatsoever without considering whether or not be broke any laws because it's not a legal process.

Thank you, this is the point! No president is perfect, & I've disagreed even with my liberal heroes on some issues. But at this moment Biden has a better chance than anyone else at stopping Trump, so long as we stand behind him. Didn't it take 6 Supreme Court Justices to decide to throw out the U.S. Constitution's categorical statement that left no uncertainty that the President is NOT above the law? That’s optimism I’m afraid I don’t necessarily share. It’s astounding to me that Americans aren’t out in droves protesting, but then I remember that over the past few years, republicans around the country have passed laws prohibiting protests (even peaceful ones). In FL where I live, our horrible frat bro of a narcissist governor has even restricted penalties imposed on someone who might choose to, say, run over protesters with their vehicle. His question was this: Since the military is instructed not to obey an unlawful command, then wouldn't the rest of us or lawyers or whoever be exempt from obeying an unlawful law, such as this absolute immunity ruling from the Supreme Court? This ruling obviously violates the Constitution. So why should anybody obey it? That's what I'd like to know!
