when a test tube is immersed in water at a certain angle it appears to have a mirror like surface. that is due to refraction of light from the medium of air to medium of water and then hitting the surface of the glass test tube as it's medium glass the light undergoes reflection internally

Yeah , you might be wondering that how can reflection happen instead of refraction in a transparent media . It is due to fact that angle of incidence made by the light becomes more than critical angle which causes the light to bend outwards the interface and thus reflection occurs instead of refraction
