  • On August 1, my dad, Alan and I went to Barnegat Inlet to do some tautog fishing! We used big sand fleas caught from the surf. The bite was really good, but we couldn't manage to catch a keeper. After the tide changed, large schools of bluefish started to blitz. Stay tuned for part 2!

Great video. Pretty funny, that's my buddy and me going in to spearfish at around 4:45. I remember that day. I got 5 triggerfish out toward the end of the jetty. They were stacked up out there.

Interesting with the sand fleas! Pretty cool u got one in between the rocks. Nice to see you getting on them. Might not have been the size u were looking for but boy were they fighting good!! Great to see your dad getting on them as well. Great video 👊

Thanks Chris! They were everywhere, but we had trouble finding the keepers. I’ll get them next time!

The big ones come in when the water gets colder like the end of October and November. Best time.

Agreed! Some big ones were definitely there though. A couple people pulled out 17+ inch fish. Thanks for watching!
