@jeffbowen1593 yes yes! I've played decks I've never played before. So easy to import a list or cook something up on your own. Use cards I don't have access to and test them out. It's just so awesome. I want everyone to donate to the Patreon if they can...every little bit is a thank you to the legend Hoang Zero
As I understand it, it's basically the EDOPro of Digimon, which is amazing. The other good thing is I'm French but don't live in Paris, so there's not much of a Digimon scene. This will make it easier to play
Loving DCGO so much, it makes it so I ALWAYS want to play Digimon (even in dead periods like y'all mentioned). There are countless decks that I have been afraid to build in the past, because I think they will be trash and I'll waste 5 hours building/unbuilding only to have it be really bad. DCGO removes another barrier to building fun/wacky decks that also might lead to real/competitive ideas too. Also note that many features missing from it are currently being worked on, we're basically just at the point where it has bare minimum functionality so that people can use it without having to wait another 6 months, etc. So being patient with some of the issues would be very much recommended
So for the alternate forms question, i think an interesting answer would be Gallantmon: Chaos Mode, a Crimson Mode equivalent for ChaosGallantmon. It was never an official Digimon and only exclusive to a toy line in the states.
Disagree about not having a ranking system. I think simulators are great for practice, test/tune, and learn rules/mechanics. Only makes me want to play more. It wouldn't take away from wanting to play the physical game because people mainly compete at tournaments for prizing. Best thing to come to Digimon tcg in a minute.
@@jeffbowen1593If my memory serves me well, I remember someone asking in discord about rank and Hoang responded that it's in the works or they're looking into it. But yeah, most likely won't be a easy task.
Only downside to a ranking system in my opinion is that it would really take a long time to find a match if you are at the 2 extremes of the ladder. You already are going to be playing against a small number of people.
Master Duel the yugioh simulator has a “interaction” button that can be toggled on and off. It’s great to make an opponent think you have nothing then interrupt their pivotal play 😊
It would be silly and make no sense lore-wise, but for variant Digimon I'd love to see Mother D-Reaper (X Antibody) as support for the deck and a winking acknowledgement about how everybody runs X-Antibody to get an extra source under her to get Gatekeeper active sooner.
Are we just going to ignore all the TTS manual sims too? Answer is yes. Having an auto sim is such a huge step above all the manual sims and requires way more work.
Best case scenario (and what I’ve heard from the DCGO devs and discord) is that Drasil and them work together going forward in some way, shape, or form. Doesn’t have to be one or the other. And manual sims will be the way for testing sets ahead of release. There is space for both, everyone is just hyped (rightfully) for the new auto sim
They should just add a response toggle on or off or everytime (like you said op does) that’s what all the ygo sims do including the official one bc there’s so much hidden interaction
What online client has killed paper play in any of the bigger tcgs? Genuine question. If anything it has helped the big 3. We need ranking and proper matchmaking.
@@AdamTCG it’s not about just finding a game. As I’m going up the ladder I want to run into more meta relevant decks that I need practice against. I guess that’s what I mean by proper matchmaking. I’d also like to run into more experienced players to improve. I can’t do that with no ranking system and matchmaking that reflects your ranking in the ladder..
The argument that it will increase sales kinda fought itself. You claimed that by having the sim, you can get to play DeathX and other expensive cards. The decks will still be playing one or two so if you don't see it in person, you're just as likely to not see it on the sim. If anything, the sim just makes it so that you buy singles rather than sealed product because you've play tested that one meta deck you ironed out and spend less.
They've already addressed the "view opponent's deck" option and said no. If someone makes a good deck, that's their idea and it's not right that you can just take it or worse, claim it's your own for content (not saying you would but the option for others to do it is there).
New sim is so amazing. It has helped me learn the game and the amount of decks I have access to(all of them) it really helps me as a new player.
It really is! Love being able to increase the amount of testing I can do.

Love the discussion around my question. Keep up the great work guys!
Great question!

As soon as we finished recording I remembered about that! And I want the Chaos Generals from DW2!!

Ranking would be fun, but incredibly hard to implement for the programmers.
I would not be opposed if they added it!

It's like EDOPro (aka YGOPro)?

I definitely appreciate it for learning because there's still stuff I'm learning even after months of playing at locals.
Where do you go to play the sim

The sim is awesome been trying to iron out a mitamamon/kentaurosmon deck
Can't wait to see your deck!
What's the proper name for the "gotchya" deck?
Green Gatcha!
Green gacha
So we are just gonna ignore that there’s Project Drasil digimon sim as well??
Yes, yes we will
Are we just going to ignore all the TTS manual sims too?
Answer is yes. Having an auto sim is such a huge step above all the manual sims and requires way more work.
Agreed. Auto Sim helps more than all the manual sims. It's less mental energy that allows more enjoyment during gameplay.

@walkersikorski6924 drasil for future sets, dcgo for current. Takes care of multiple factors without out shinning/stepping on toes

I think some people feel magic was hurt due to online simulators.
@@jeffbowen1593 wotc gutted prize support and tournament play, and continued pandering to the commander format.
Proper match making like how do you mean? When you can't find a game it's because the server is maxed out. Just keep trying and a fix is in the works.

Diaboromon x and a diaboromon advanced deck let's goooooooooooooo
"no prizing due cause of cost" wall of winners? A poster board with #1 winners to be viewed in the back during two tamers talk vids? :0
That's personal collection 😂
I know what he has back there now. I'm just saying it would be a cheap thing they could do for the players. Idk. XD

It's so long between episodes. We need a mid week little diddy to get the fans thru.
We would run out of quality content 😂
Better to leave you wanting more, right? ;D
EDOPro has an option for an artificial delay on each opponent interaction
I mean merciful mode can also go over omnimon in name so it can go over alter b which is black 😂

Batsu for the one piece sim.
Thank you!
You're welcome
there are ZERO vanilla cards in BT-16 and EX-06
