On other channels, I see random Festool tools I can't afford, or justify buying any time soon. On your channel, I see tools that I can barely comprehend or have any hope of ever affording.
Like restoration guy on TH-cam that cranks up a quarter million dollar CMC, turns out a split vertical mold that should have cost $3000+ to make… Then uses it to make whitewalls for the Tonka truck he’s restoring….
@@tribalm0nkeywell, I am interested in growing my woodworking business, so I watch TH-cam videos mostly for information and inspiration. Right now I've been selling furniture (and at this time of year, mainly planters) but I'd like to reinvest in tools to expand and streamline my business. Currently, if I was to cut a tenon that large, I would either use a jig on my table saw to hold the piece vertically, or I would use a hand saw and clean it up with hand chisels. I never would have considered using a large groove cutting bit and didn't know they even made bits that size and the spacers are new to me as well. Most other youtubers would be showing off their Festool Kapex for this type of work or if their old-school power tool guys perhaps a radial arm saw. Dusty has a different niche and it's interesting, but sometimes I need to watch his videos a couple of times too catch everything.

This makes it so much easier to cut off your pointer finger and ring finger at the same time, without the need for pesky multiple steps, while at the same time preserving the middle finger for all the times when of course that is the appropriate sign language ~_^
@@kd9856 Whether you have that kind of equipment or not is irrespective, having good machines is a bonus and does make life easier, but remember, a tool is just a tool, it's the craftsman skill that's using the tool is what counts. Just out of curiosity seeing the 10 000 rpm marking, I checked the rpm and feed of a similar size slotting mill for steel and it would be ~550rpm at ~100 m/min or ~575 fpm. I used to be a cnc machinist and wood mills genuinely scare me. If a 5 1/2 mill spinning at 10 000 rpm would shatter it would pretty much be a claymore blowing up inside the shop 😅

Oh he's just the everyday hobbyist DIY woodworker.
Every tool I possess likely cost *less* then the cutters he unboxed.
Hahaha
This is his profession and clearly not yours so why would you need the incomprehensible tools?

Your head
@@nobodyuknow4911 oh I understand what you mean, you just have bad comedic timing.
D
I cut tenons on a shaper using Diablo 6" saw blades with spacers also. It really saves a lot of time and work.
@@garywilliams7233 Mkay... Joke post is joke... Overthinking joke post makes people wonder what you missed...
Would love to have this guys shop , he has everything
Dusty, thanks for teaching us and showing what's new in the world. You are a good man.
My pleasure
👏🙌
seems the radial arm saw can do it just as good .
Lots of ways to do it
Mount a dado blade in the table saw and do it all that way too.
Freud told Grover that his superego and Id were destroying his ego, and that Elmo didn't replace him, and is still loved by many a gen x
Today is one of those days where a lot of oddly satisfying to watch videos keep showing up in my list
I love the professionalism of this man.. Perfect work!!!!👌👌👌👌
Nice. That static shot on the sliding table saw was dope!
Like a kid on Christmas
🙌😁
That's one Freud you don't want slipping
👍
Clearly mastering visual communication! Great work all around .
The sound of that new saw was beautiful
Gotta love new tools. Anything that improves efficiency is a good thing 👌
😁
I see that having $30k in machinery can save a few minutes cutting tenons
That shaper is the best. Freud makes great stuff too. 👍
Those little blades are cheap and convenient to replace, nice!
You born for woodworking :)) 👍
There some crisp clean joints there dusty. 👏👏🏴👍
Thanks very much!
Like butter, love new blades
Oh yeah!
I found a shaper more versatile for a workshop than a dedicated tenoner.. You can do so much on those and joining board to make panels is so quick
After he has successfully conqured festool now my man has moved towards Freud..
I work with a few different brands.
Nothing better than a sharp tool. Makes the job more fun
I’m getting fed up watching this man. He is fantastic. I love what he does
Dude, it's awesome when you unbox something new....💪
Thanks very much!
I don't have a $3000 shaper nor do I have$4000 table saw
It's ok you can do much better looking with hand tools that doesn't scream machine made

Wow. Absolutely amazing 👏
Those two cutters are worth as much as my whole collection of tools 😂
I so luv that shaper. Definitely on my list to purchase one…
It's pretty slick. I use it all the time
Nice. Killer set up!
Thank you very much
Dude you got some sweet equipment… I’m jealous lol
Nice equipment!
I love how it can set how thick it need to be and it really make the work much faster
🙌👍
I need all of that in my life...
Thats some pretty fur
Dustin !!! You are a legend ❤
Thanks very much
Mortal men like me have to make these cuts slightly different in our little workshops 😊
Very nice equipment I love that table saw guide!
Thanks very much!
That's one nice table saw set up. I really like the oversized sled with attachments. Id love to have one, but wouldn't be used enough to justify it.
Sei il migliore !
I love a well made fence
I appreciate that thank you
In Japan we use saws. Easy, safe and cheap!
Do you have any experience using Ballew Saw's Magic Molder?
Do all your cuts on the spindle moulder your stops are all set 👋☘️🇮🇪
I never see a finish product from this channel
That table saw cost more than my 3 acres 😂
*Chef’s Kiss*
😁👍
Love the safety the most ❤
That certainly beats a hand saw and a chisel. So accurate, neat an easy 🫡
😁🙌
Where do you find all these bits? I cannot find them anywhere on the Frued site
Every single tool and accessory you can think of, Dusty has it
🤣
Pretty badass
I need to get a shaper like that so cool!
It's pretty slick
I thought that said tendons at first and I was worried
I hate woodworking but damn I love the toys
Whoa, talk about making short work of it 👍
Oh yeah!
So is that a jointer you used to make the groove?
At first, I thought those were for a grinder.
What do u spin those teeth for a fresh edge? That'd be nice tech to see on swing blade sawmill blades.
Hi Dusty, where i can find these heads? it can be used in a weinig unimat 23e?
You do super cool.work.
Thank you very much!
Those are fine tools. 👍
Thanks 👍
Amigo Dusty extraño tus maravillosos ensambles
You have some awesome tools, can I come over and make some bar stools? 😆
Thanks!
Can you make a vid on the new shop
That's the plan when it's ready and of much of the build as it happens
Quick tenons, and quick mortis drill press n some chisel, you'll be home in time for dinner. Love the channel
😁🙌
Oh shit! TH-cam algorithm can read our minds already?! I was just thinking yesterday how it’s done…
🤣
And that is what they make tenon saws for.
Thanks!
Thanks so much!!😁😁

Wish type of wood are you working with.
There is an old coot somewhere screaming "witch craft!!"
Seriously, this equipment is so satisfying to see.

You have some of the coolest toys in the industry.
Thank you very much!

Is that pine wood?
Of course those scary looking bits are going on the 63 horsepower shaper.
That was...... groovy
Thanks!
I AM NOT JEALOUS! You’re jealous, so THERE!!

That would be my question, what all tools in your shop cost and what percentage of them you got from sponsors?
Nice!!!!

What's the tooling cost? Exorbitant
good work thanks to you we can learn many more things thanks 👍👍👍👍👍😇
Glad to hear that
How much did those groovers cost? I'll bet it was as much as some of us people out here make in a month.
