Welcome back to another bushcraft video!
This week i managed to get out on a solo wild bushcraft camp which I've been feeling is well overdue. I headed down to my local woods which is only a 5 minute drive from my house.
The woods is a bit of a bushcraft paradise which is mainly Hazel but with plenty of Ash, some Silver Birch and some Yew.
I made a frame for my tarp to suspend from and i knocked up a pot hanger to cook my food on.
Ive done something i said to myself i was never gonna do.... This camp i have a British MRE ( Meal Ready To Eat) Ration pack.
I had a great time as i always do in the woods!
TO anyone that's felt inspired at all... get out and do this !! its great to reconnect with mother nature and getting outside is great for the mind.

@@leekidman6128 Hi Lee, I don't think your age matters to a certain extent, I'm pretty fit for my age, but as Clint said ( a man's got to know his limitations ) and that's the key to not doing daft stuff,my grandson's egg me on a bit, daring me to do things, but I've been around the block a few times, so experience tends to win over youth now and again,lol, the day will come when we have to slow down, until then party on dude, look after yourself mate Atb, Stuart UK.

I came across your videos a few weeks ago and I watch loads now. You’ve definitely inspired me because I’ve been riding mountain bikes for 20 years and ridden through lots of woods and the forest and always thought I should camp there. And now I think I will. Good backflip to dude😎👌

Will Lord is your man for knapping flint. He is based bot far from where you are. My brother has been knapping flint for 9 months or so whilst he was not able to work. He has done a couple of courses with Will and has produced some cool stuff. Being active and doing things to stretch your mind and body is superb for anyone's MH. Good to see thie community grow around the content you,Ben and the rest of the guys produce.

Well done Craig that was a good Solo camp, I agree always treat the woods with respect, I hate seeing fire scars & rubbish left strewn around by inconsiderate Txxts. The old military ration packs bring back fond memories, keep the video's coming.

I really don’t know how you do it Craig yet another engaging and entertaining video, I firmly believe you are wasted lad. You bring back so many memories of the times I spent in the woods as a long haired slender young man with my mates. How ration packs have moved on lol I remember AB biscuits you could nail em to your shoes walk to Manchester and back and they’d still be on. Iam fat and old now and I’ve been telling the social I’ve been in a wheelchair for the last 6 years, think I’ve out grown the community camp scene but a community yomp might be a good crack provided there’s wheelchair access and a pub stop. The paracord bracelet featured in this episode and I’ve seen in Afghan photos, please tell more! I wear one everyday and not even a cannibal joke this time! Well done ACE top job !

I've been a carp fisher since the mid seventies.. (as well as going to SLF gigs..LOL) So I've been camping out most of my life... My son works for the French forestry, and is totally into his forest.. I hope to get out and do some hammock camping with him this summer...
I share your love of good beer, even if I don't drink too much these days... ages catches up with you, When I worked on Fleet Street and lived in London, my flat was right opposite a Fullers pub... London Pride is still on of my favourite pints...
Also my ex-mother in law lived just up the road from one of the only ale pubs in Paris.. and it served Adnams .. I loved the Broadside..'I'm guessing it's brewed not too far from you...
