I enjoyed learning that they treated everyone differently. Learned something new. Parrots other than humans are the only known creatures that understand rhythm. Returning the learning favor 👍 In south Florida green parrots flock together, poop on everything and yell all about their defecation. Australians hate the wild parrots as well.

To the parrots: those 'phrases' are just noises used to communicate like any other noise. In the wild, birds are very accustomed to a wide variety of noises being used by other birds to communicate. Only humans understand them to be 'swear' words or phrases, so there isn't much to apologize for the parrots making them. If anything it's the people who taught them those phrases in the first place that should be ashamed.

I once gave shelter to a rescue green parrot and he had impressive talent - would bite me and say "ouch! ouch!", mix greetings with curses and probably was aware of extremely complex Polish grammar, because he would use it correctly when swearing at me. I'm very impressed, but also happy the bird doesn't live at my home anymore lol

Vegetable trucks, flat motorway roads with hidden ditches and every thief under the sun trying to steal if you have anything nice. Thankfully I met a handful of really lovely people. I wished the birds could fly away.

A friend I worked with had an African grey parrot. I went to her house and leaned towards it and said hello, it told me to eff off. I told her and she laughed and said it told her dogs to effing eat your dinner. It was funny, but neighbours were always complaining. 😊
