    I can't speak for all, but you're on tractors that most of us will never be able to afford and we are lucky enough that you happen to bring us along with you. My point is, if you were pushing marshmallows towards a big cup of cocoa, most of us would watch and enjoy! If your equipment is moving, we will watch! Stay safe!

    In Alaska we use to run our old cable lift D-8 CAT Dozers up and down the gravel runway at the radar sire base. The ridge on the track pads would cut up the ice so a landing airplane could use some brakes.

    Thanks Dennis, I always like your snow plowing videos(be it snow or ice). When I drove truck, I didn't have a problem with snow or ice(I would rather drive in snow though). My biggest problem was with the other people who were on the road. I wasn't afraid for myself, it was the "other people" I was afraid for and of. Not everyone uses common sense when they drive on snow or ice. They tend to forget that cars and pickups do not stop on a dime, or that semis can not stop on a dime. Anyway, thanks again for the video.

    We have another approach in Sweden to take away clear ice or hard compacted snow. Usually we use ice ripper edges f e Olofsfors Sharqedges P300. You can have them on ordinary plow or on separate blade in back or even a "underbite" under truck/tractor that's working like a grader. After one pass with ice ripper the ordinary blade with straight edge take away the remaining ice/snow.
    We use the same for maintaining gravel roads. A lot of forestry trucks uses this "underbite" too in summertime.
    Have a good winter season, Dennis.

    The other bad thing ( among many ) with these darned ice storms, is that it play havoc with power lines and trees too. Not good for anything, I guess is an understatement.

      Well, we camp at lake wood in Myrtle Beach, Ashland ATV resort in WV, the Stare Fair of WV, and occasionally we go to Fort Chiswell Va. There is a campground right near us hear in Meadows of Dan but never stayed there, my thought is if your that close to home why are you camping. LoL. The T5 has a FPT (Fiat power Train) 3.4 liter 4 cylinder engine and it's 120 hp before I turned it up 25 more.

It sure isn’t home lol.I have just noticed the scenery where u do all ur hay bailing and it’s beautiful. we haven’t been out east to much. Just thought I would ask your view on places to go out ur way. I commented on ur kubota review video a while back, and buddy kubota service is terrible where I’m at to. But anyway Dennis thank you for putting up the videos of hay and excavating. I have learned a lot from them.I do excavating with my grandpa a lot but love to see ur side of it. Also it blows my mind to see how much work u do by yourself in the hay business. I did that when I was a lot younger, and man it was rough. My hats off to you buddy. Dennis, Does VDOT have a long term contract for y'all to do snow removal for multiple years at a time. Looks like alot of overhead in snow removal specific equipment to risk a year to year contract and being under big after the 1st season or is there just no competition for it. If you cant do to privacy between the farm and VDOT that is understandable. Thanks

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      VDot will only do 1 year contracts but I think they are required to let you sign up as long as you meet their criteria. Another words to make it fair they have to sign anyone up that wants to push as long as they are willing to play by VDOT's rules.
