Yes it does because the NBA champion is the best basketball team in the world. They’re not gonna beat the French national team. That Canadian team will definitely be contenders to an NBA title. The French national team has played for so long. But the team that wins in the NBA they are the greatest team in the world as far as club teams are the best players in the world playing the NBA. So there is really no team in the world that could be an NBA champion in a seven game series… if you look at the fiba team they send aside from the one that dominated a few years ago. Those teams have all had to b talent. Those teams are definitely good enough to win an NBA title. Boston Celtics will get smashed by France in a 7 game series as far as international basketball rules. It’s two different styles of play so… back in the day, the Chicago Bulls when they’re winning all the championships they’re it always play like a national team or somebody and they would easily win. They don’t do that anymore because of the NBA world champion would not do well against entire countries national team on an international court with a International rules against a team like Serbia or France.

The thing is that yeah they're not playing international teams, but the NBA is most definitely the league that the world's best players gravitate towards. ....but it would be really hard to have such a tournament because of what I said above.... a lot of the best international players plat for those NBA teams, so for instance last year, Jokic was the best player on both the Denver Nuggets and the Serbian national team. Each team has a legitimate claim to him.There would be no fair way to do it other than sitting him out.
Same for Wemby if the Spurs played France or Luka if the Mavs played Slovenia. Are those international teams beating NBA teams if neither team can play the guys that they both have equal claim to?

For goodness sake… the Celtics are champions of the NATIONAL Basketball Association, not the World or International Basketball Association because it simply doesn’t exist.
The USA are Olympic champions because they won the OLYMPICS. Until there’s an international governing body for basketball that puts on a tournament for clubs around the world, no NBA team that wins the championship can call themselves world champions, regardless of how many international players play in that league. Only the winners of the Olympics Hoops Gold Medal or FIBA World Cup deserve that honor. That's not to say the NBA champs aren't great. But playing one team in Canada hardly makes them "World Champs." Put another way, Team USA = World Champs this year. Meanwhile, Boston Celtics = NBA Champs, not "World Champs" and Panathinaikos = EuroLeague Champs, not "World Champs." Oh and we do have Canadian teams in the NBA and NHL(for those that want to be technical, ex. Toronto Raptors). Also, many WNBA and NBA players still play overseas. If you heard the olympic commentators, many swimmers from overseas train in Florida and Texas at colleges or clubs. Basketball players from overseas also train at american colleges. America is literally producing or making better many of these overseas athletes. For this reason and the 2024 gold medal I believe that most of our leagues can claim being the best in the world. There is a better way for Noah to get a great shoe deal, but this is not it.
