Great video we love small towns and talking to the locals. These towns are usually very friendly and peaceful. It is a great way to give back to a small community. Our current t video has a town of only 44 people but has amazing roadside attractions truly amazing! Love your channel new subscribers for sure. I have a sister in Pennsylvania and I lived in Phoenix for 5 years and have been wanting to get back to Arizona so watching your channel will give us great ideas and places we must see. Nice 18 th and 19th century architecture. I just knew the church would be Presbyterian, ScotsIrish heritage. Really nice video and really nice looking town. I live in South Eastern, Pa, from Lancaster.
I love the Lancaster area as well. There's a wonderful B&B called Frog Town Acres where I spent a few nights many years ago. The covered bridges in that area are amazing as well. Thank you for the kind comment 😉☀️🌵

Saltsburg is an awesome small town. I didn't know what to expect when I got there. The people are amazing and the town is loaded with history. I hope to make it back during the summer sometime in the future. ☀️🌵
My family lived in the house you toured up until my mother passed. I was there until I went to college at Penn State. We walked to school and walked home for lunch.
I believe that living in this country I would either live in the middle of a large city such as New York City, San Diego, etc. Or you live in very small towns. Nothing in between.
I drove through Saltsburg quite a bit when I was in graduate school. You should explore Indiana, Pa if you have a chance! It is only about 30 mins from Saltsburg.
Thank you for your question. My videos are done through the lens of a tourist. That being so, I don't typically look into the medical options within the small towns I visit. Medical options are certainly a struggle for small towns. In some cases, local doctors run small clinics and potentially still make house calls. Sadly, it seems as though the medical field has become big business more focused on profit than patients. I happen to live in a city with 80,000 people and we're having a hard time attracting hospitals to build here because "we're too small to be profitable". If that's true for my city of 80,000 people, imagine a town with 1500 people. ☀️🌵
Correct your history on your remark as from Johnstown PA where the Stony Creek meets Little Conemaugh River to form the Conemaugh as Conemaugh River as where PA 286 Bridge the Conemaugh River is same River but name changes to Kiskiminetas River with the Loyalhanna Creek flowing into Conemaugh River.
My ancestors on my father's side lived on farms outside of Saltsburgh. Sam Waddle was very involved in the development of the salt industry in the 1800's. He paid the most taxes in the county one year that was noted around the civil war time. My grandmother was a Stine and she went to that Presbyterian Church as a young adult. This town actually has a well established museum that is worth a visit if you come up on a visit. I have not lived here since 1956. But have made many trips to do ancestry research over the years. Thank you for highlighting this town.
As life long resident, I want to thank you for representing my small town. I went to college for history and this video meant a lot to me and my love for my town’s rich history. Coming from Pittsburgh and moving there in 3rd grade and ended up graduating but I can say it wasn’t a bad town it was what you made of it I liked walking around the town for the most part but I did move back to Pittsburgh. I come back around mostly cuz my parents lived out there

It's a neat little town, certainly historical, but nothing really to write home about other than maybe going on a boating trip if that's what you like to do
