    This is my favorite video format that you’ve had. Hand cam to get in on the action and post game “radio chat”. Absolutely love it.

    The bookends of commentary are a nice addition to the battle report.

    I love how the ghouls are basically debased Bretonnians.

    In 37"48" IRRC Face me! Cowards! can be only used by the duelist, and not by axe in this instance. Great battle report, regardless! :)

    Amazing battle report, amazing warbands and amazing terrain. It's so good to see these 3 battle campaign arcs using the two warbands from the box, great stuff! My main warband is the Royal Beastflayers now, but using the Grymwatch models as proxies to have more Ghouls, another Flaymaster and another Baron, with no Hounds. It's been a blast so far and having 2 Barons is so good for mobility using his Double (Sound the Hunt), I feel like this should've been a Triple for how good it is.

    This was a great bat rep! I feel like both teams got to do some cool shenanigans and put up a good fight. I’ve been fascinated by this game recently, and so I tend to analyze how games go. I think there could have been a scenario where the beastflayers would have made a triple instead of securing initiative in the last round. The questor still would have had to come to them (maybe killing the Offal hound or the other ghoul around the edges, but that kind of happened anyways), and I don’t know if they would have given up their wild dice for initiative when they could have their quad and triple. I think forcing the questor to come into the murder pile and then using the flaymaster triple to deal a TON of damage to kill one more questor would have been really good. Keep in mind that the flaymaster doesn’t have to be in 3” himself to select the target, he just has to see them, then the damage is calculated based on the number of friendly units around that target.
    Couple rules things (most of these were inconsequential, but they were either brought up, thought of, or asked about)
    -yes, you can rampage to get the extra attack without moving. Fun fact: as of the most recent FAQ for warcry (September of this year), rampage has been errata’d to read that you get to do a move action up to the value of the ability and then the attack. Up to suggesting that you can move less, and 0 is less. You can move zero and then attack, but you can’t attack and then move with rampage.
    You’re right about the climbing and attacking thing! You can climb up to get close enough and then make your attack, but you do fall if you end your activation where your base is not on the battlefield floor or a platform (I think some stairs and ladders are exceptions, but those weren’t present in this case). Whenever you fall more than 2” you must suffer impact damage. Again I think this would have been inconsequential, except for possibly this next part.
    WHENEVER you fall, whether it’s through your own actions or your opponent pushed you off. your opponent is the one who decides where you land. You were right about thr 2” thing, but you actually get a bit more distance, since the point must be within 2” horizontally of the fighter falling, but then you put the CENTER of that models base on that point, so you get a small extra distance. I wasn’t there to measure all the distances to say for sure, but where the game ended up with the questor doing all they could to chase the flayers down, an extra bit of distance incurred because of falling might have made a big difference. It didn’t end up happening, but if the questor on the bridge st the end did end up falling, I think you could have been pushed out of range of the real shaper engine. The center of your base looked like it was on the bridge, which means you were already out over the edge slightly. With the 2” plus the little extra from moving the center of your base to that point, I think the beastflayers made a good play in attempting to make the questor fall

    Hey Ash, been meaning to ask. How do you feel Warcry is compared to Frostgrave? Which do you prefer narratively and why?

    • @PMMagro
      @PMMagro ปีที่แล้ว

      The games are different. frostgrave is about spellcasters and their ..posse. Any faction/mix and match. Warcry has clear factions.
      Frostgrave si 100% a campaign game. Warcry is also good fro campaings but does worek with just an odd match or two.

      @@PMMagro Agreed the games are different, but was more asking his opinion on which he prefers narratively.

    How does your Royal Beastflayer Leader has 8" move? Seems to me you got from a specific table, and you don't get to pick a Trait from any table, you can only pick the free Trait from the UNIVERSAL table that is in the first page of the Campaign Rules.

    • @GuerrillaMiniatureGames
      @GuerrillaMiniatureGames  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah that rule is dumb so we let ourselves pick from our faction tables too.

    • @kraziel
      @kraziel ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GuerrillaMiniatureGames Oh all right then! That seems just :D I was just so confused I went to check if that table had+1 Move or +3 Move, because the 8 move was a shocker
