Thank you for your review, absolutely fits my experience. A very comfortable middle-ground string but probably an even better cross-string to bring more plushness into your stringbed. Tension maintenance isn't that great, but that's pretty normal for softer poly strings.
Awesome! This is an older video, you might really love the strings I use today! Lmk if you have any questions but my code gets you a good discount and there are two companies that I think make the best strings right now by miles.
I use this string in my Prince Graduate 110 and it works great for my all around game. It slices and serves very well, volleys are decent too. Good feel, but also has some power dampening for my one handed backhand drive and for my semi western forehands that I prefer to be flatter and deep. My favorite part about these string is good, deep slicing without a ton of effort and with good feel. This string suits someone with a flatter topspin (take the ball on the rise) and move in kinda player. They are good strings for me. Basically a better pocketing version of pro line II, but not mushy or too powerful. This string is also great for blocking serve returns back with power and feel. It has attributes that I cannot get out of a very low powered spin string. Gonna try it in my pro classic 6.1 95 mid next.
I tried this in myPure Strike 3rd gen 16x19 and it was great for spin, the ball jumped further than when using the Solinco Confidential 16L. I found the ball sailing on slices with the Pro Line Evolution, but I had more pop and power on this string. Both of these have good tension maintenance, I'll need to try the Gamma Ocho string you tried out.
I've finally had the chance to try this string in my Prestige MP 360+ strung @48lbs. I really like it, very comfortable and offers good spin for a round poly, especially considering it's a tight 18x20 pattern. Has a very "classic" soft feel with good ball pocketing in that setup. The lower tension really works for me in this racket as it's quite a flexible underpowered stick. In my Ezone 98 Tour I would probably string it around 52-53lbs plus the color combo would look awesome :-) Will experiment with that setup in the future...
I have a reel of this. Plays a bit softer than pro line II and holds tension better. I hybrid it with gut in the mains. I may try Gamma Ocho XP in the mains next.
Might be a good idea! Ocho is really durable, it turns out. A trade-off perhaps for the harder feel. Try to pair with a softer cross which I did in my video "racket surgery"
@@ZeroLoveTennis well I am using the Ocho in the mains with solinco hyper G soft in the crosses. Since I have the evolution reel and a set of natural gut, I will use that up before changing. For a long time I used to string pro line II in the mains with syn gut in the crosses. An affordable if not average playing set up that I got used to and was able to re string as needed because of the low cost
@@BIGLOVE4TRUTH string yourself? I never hit with multi anymore but that's cool if you can find a place for it. I lose too much spin and the durability isn't good for me at all. Maybe lasts 2 hits.
@@ZeroLoveTennis no I don’t string myself. Took that setup suggestion from Harry at tennis spin channel and thought I’d try it. Works well and is cheaper than gut.
@@BIGLOVE4TRUTH I see. Getting more durable strings might be a cost saving option but it depends how often you break. I string myself so that changes how I see things personally.
Hmmm my best suggestion is Wasabi X. Might be like $12 but my code should bring it closer to 10. Code: time410s (gets you 25% for now, 20% next year) I highly suggest it with ether in the mains. Both by Toroline. If you don't use ether (or a few other selections I could mention) you won't have the full benefits of the combined performance which is honestly unparalleled (by a lot) in terms of spin and durability. Otherwise, ghostwire is a cheaper popular cross but it really doesn't come close to the slickness of wasabi x. Be sure it's "wasabi x" and not "wasabi" although wasabi makes for a great main string! Lmk if you try!
hello!!! great video!! I am between 3 strings to choose from right now, can you help me, I play with babolat pure aero 2022, the 3 would be... kirschbaum pro line 2 rough, dunlop black widow, pro line II 1.20, which one would you recommend, my game is aggressive bottom line
Oh hey thank you! This is an older video haha. have you seen any of my newer stuff? I work with 2 string companies and I genuinely think they make the best strings out there. Especially if you're topspin and baseline heavy hitting. The price is about the same but the performance for spin is WAY better than anything else and it happens to take a lot longer to break as well. Crazy string, please see my latest videos to get an idea! I honestly can't suggest other strings anymore. These are just so much better that I'd be doing a disservice to suggest other strings unless you need multi or something.
Im currently using the kirshbaum proline 2. racket: Vcore Pro, tension: 57/55. its a nice string, gives a bit more power than id like, but i do love the spin im getting from it after about a week ish of play. when i first got it strung i didnt hear or feel the snap back, but aftert a week its snapping back great!. it doesnt give as much spin as id like and was actually thinking of pairing it with a shaped poly like vokl or something to see if i can really make this have more spin on it. i was also thinking of a Ytex quattro like you mentioned at 17 or 18 gauge to really bite into the ball. what do you think of pairing it with something like this? also, great first video!. this is the first one ive watched so im going to watch more after i leave this comment.
Hello and thanks! It's nice to still get comments on an old video haha. I actually think the strings I use today would absolutely blow these away in terms of spin and honestly, many other traits. Have you heard of ReString or Toroline? They're making a big name for themselves via a different path than the other brands. I've realy enjoyed a combo of Zero mains and Sync crosses. That is from ReString. Toroline also has a few super snapback and shaped strings. Like Toro Toro mains and Wasabi X. That is absolutely my top suggestion for now and has been for a while. They set a bar very high for anyone to meet and I jhaven't seen anyone come close and I've tried so many. My code: time410s, gets you a discount on both and my newer content mentions them often.
@@ZeroLoveTennis I actually just watched your video on the wasabi string from touroline. and was thinking of doing that since it has so much snap back. I may use these as hybrids to the kirshbaum since they are such a large string. 16 ga 1.30 mm. proline 2. Ill check these out and leave a comment on this to see how they work with the set up. this gets a discount on the toroline website then? ill buy a pack and check them out. Use my code: time410s for a discount! Links are in all my newer videos. I'll try to add it here as well
11min repeating that you don't like it because it's round and you want a shaped poly. This Evolution string has better spin potential than many shaped poly on the market. I think you should work on yout footwork too
Older video. I found my string! A lot of my new content mentions it. ReString Zero absolutely blows this string out of the water in every category by the way. I prove it as much as possible in my content.
Might be. I think my newer content is a bit better for sure. This was probably one of my first videos. Toroline makes an amazing string. You should see my video on them. I don't know if I'll switch away from them anytime soon.

I got this string and kirshbaum max power too to test them. I’ll let you know how they feel. I got them at the 17 gauge/1.25.
That means you are the viewer I've been looking for haha.
