@@TerraExodus 12 string guitars, though less common than their 6 string counterparts, are normal. And they sound awesome. They are harder on your left hand though

1:04 the movement of the top bass string
Damn
This is due to the string's frequency being close to a multiple of the camera's framerate. The camera is taking snapshots of the string at separate points in time which happen to be close to the same wave shape due to the wave repeating. In reality it is vibrating much faster. The same effect can often be seen when recording video of helicopter blades.
@@gabedamien ur theory just reminded me the flash tv series. It's the same way how the reverse flash be at the same time at 2 different places, season 1 I guess.

After hearing this I'm replacing all my old strings with Valerian steel. Might be pricey but what the hell.
Sadly steel strings are so uncommon for a twelve string that even if you Google "steel strings for a twelve string guitar" you will only see phosphor bronze options I've only found one company that does steel strings for them.
Kristopher Henderson a phosphor bronze string is a steel string with bronze wound around the E, A, D, and G strings
@@piemaniac9410 which still isnt steel and that's the problem I'm allergic to copper so even just being wound in bronze is too much.

I aspire to your level of god-like musicianship. I’m starting out on guitar (not too great, but I only just started). I’m at the very least decent at it. I’m mostly self learning it.

That Genius Jason, I know this is a VERY late response but yes! Still having a lot of fun. I don’t think skill wise I’ve progressed as far as I wish I would’ve, but that’s in part due to school and also just general laziness, but as of recently I’ve started to pick up the pace a lot and I’ve realized something very recently. I was focusing way too much on pushing myself too hard and going for the super hard solos and shredding way too soon when I should’ve just learned the basics and some fun rhythm parts, maybe some relatively easy lead parts. Learning the hard stuff was demotivating at best and really put a damper on my mood. I’m still challenging myself but just taking it one step at a time!

Ruby he may have a thing called perfect pitch with some people are born with while others have to build up to relative pitch where they can tell what chords are playing in a song
Half year of figuring stuff by ear and you can get pretty fast.
MoonCheese 125 I think perfect pitch has to do more with hearing a tone an knowing if it is perfectly in tune without any reference. Anybody can recognize chords if you play music yourself. I think he has played guitar for so long that he knows every single chord by heart so he can recognize them instantly.

With these kind of arrangements you first figure out the melody, harmony and rhythm. That's the easy part, putting all the pieces together is the hard part imo.

Achintya Upadhyay I use three mics (+a pickup on the guitar sometimes). I use the two Rode NT5 mics to capture a stereo spread and then the condenser mic is suspended above the guitar to help record a fuller sound
damn.....that's the secret to the wonderful sound.
