Nice work showing the strategic use of NX's Datum CSYS functionality. SDRC I-DEAS is where the full, 7-element CSYS originated, at least 30 years ago. When they merged I-DEAS with Unigraphics to create NX, the coders copied the I-DEAS Datum CSYS capability over into NX.
The CSYS-to-CSYS technique, used properly, helps create very robust assemblies that are easier to make changes to. Of course, in addition to the part-to-part assembly mates demonstrated above, it works equally well if subassemblies also each have an Anchor CSYS that can be mated to the corresponding Anchor CSYS in the top assembly.
One can also choose CSYS-to-CSYS Touch-Align from the standard assembly mates dialog box when adding any component or subassembly, assuming one has chosen "Entire Assembly" for their selection scope.
Also, rather than choose a CSYS-to-CSYS full alignment, if needed one can choose individual mates between any of the 7 elements of the Datum CSYS (origin point, X-axis, Y-axis, Z-axis, XY plane, XZ plane, YZ plane), either between CSYS's or between CSYS and feature geometry.

Hi MicSofty, the acquisition of Ideas from Unigraphics resulted in the best of both worlds: NX. And as you say, for stable assemblies, the connection via coordinate systems is the best.

@@learnNX Agreed, NX is an amazingly good, capable program resulting from combining best-in-class functions of both Unigraphcs and I-DEAS, and of course the Siemens coders have added a huge amount of additional capability since NX was formed. Thank you for your excellent NX tutorials, I learn a lot of strong, useful techniques from LearnNX 👍
