    Great lesson Sensei : I was on my feet , in my living room training with you , and I have a headset on so I can comment while I'm working with the staff .. I am getting more training with my nunchaku and staff to get a little more physical activity... And as I said , I work through the pain , because I won't let the pain win.!! Thanks for your words and time..

    Once again, thank you very much!
    I know why I have soreness in my forearms. I was on a long phone call the other night and was doing some flexibility exercises with a heavy walking stick as I talked. I went a little too far, so I am sore in my forearms. I'm trying to solve that by doing the exercises with much lighter sticks today.
    I'm way too old to worry about earning the term "master." All of the stuff that I've been doing with the cane, the staffs, and the swinging clubs is making me a little bit more flexible through the shoulders, but I may never be able to get my hands behind my back to do the behind the back stuff. That's fine with me. I'm working more with the wrist roll, but that's also a slow process. I don't need to be a "master." I first need to be able to defend myself if the need ever arises. I secondly like the idea of slowing my decline through this kind of exercise.

    Hi Matt love what this is doing for my flexibility and strength. But I am having a very difficult time with the wrist roll on the pinky side. Mostly dropping it or hitting myself. Any helpful hints on the pinky side wrist roll? Or do I just keep picking it up and one day ta-da? Thanks you are an great instructor. Kevin

    • @pasquinilli
      @pasquinilli  ปีที่แล้ว

      The biggest mistake I see people make on that roll is that as you are turning your hand over, you tend to push your hand away from the body to try and catch the Bo. This pushes the Bo away and it falls to the floor. The key is to watch your hand and be sure the arm isn’t moving. Let me know if that helps. Thanks and keep training!

    Hi Matt on the one handed rolls over the pinky side it feels like I dont have enough momentum on the bo to get it to roll on top of my hand, no problem if I use a helper hand but when I do one hand over pinky the bo seems to "freeze" instead of going over my wrist. I dont think speed and momentum are my problem if I try and spin faster the bo just flies farther when I drop it. I've watched your video on this multiple times in slow motion and regular motion and I know I am doing something simple wrong just don't know what. Thank you again for your help

    What’s the best way to add weight to the staff to build strength and stamina? I have wrist weights and some cloth on both ends but quickly getting used to the weight.

    • @pasquinilli
      @pasquinilli  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used to tape lead weights that come out of the ankle or wrist weights on the end. You can also tape water bottles full of sand or pebbles on the ends.
