Yes there is. Just take the plug off the thermal switch that is connected to the radiator. And jump it across the plugs and if your fan kicks on then it's your thermal switch is bad. If the fan does not kick on run 12 V directly to the fan to make sure that the fan is turning on. Those two are usually the culprit
I have that same bike mine is a 2002 my radiator fan is not kicking on is there a way to test it
