I live near by starved rock- and I literally seen this trailer/tiny house go down the road and was wondering where it was going! Too funny! (I’m a viewer of crazy pieces from central IL)
I've been to Starved Rock but never stayed in the camper/trailer. Looked like the perfect 24-hour getaway! I'm glad u guys had fun, and thanks for the idea! ❤
Looks like a great getaway spot! Super cool there is everything you need already there! Thanks for taking us along, the park has amazing views! Definitely a workout for sure! 😊
We're so happy we found this place! We couldn't believe how much this little cabin actually had inside! The smore kit was the icing on the cake though! 🔥
You guys are an absolute darling couple. I'm so happy the Crazy Pieces introduced us to you. This was a fun video, but I would've been a bit peeved w/all those darn stairs. yikes! It'd be a zillion % better & a ton of fun if there were food & beer trucks every 1/2 mile.😂
Thanks so much Kristi! Funny you say that, Crazy Pieces was just in Chicago...🤔 Those stairs were brutal for sure, and we are 100% on the same page with food and beer trucks! 🤣
That looks amazing! It gives you time to reconnect and talk and just be present in the moment. We have not ate out in over three years lol. We just like being together on our own. We live in a rural area and have no neighbors. We have a fire pit and smoker, grill and Blackstone griddle to cook out there. Have you smoked a porkbutt for pulled pork sandwiches or brisket yet? Y'all cracked me up each of you eating a whole rack of baby back ribs. We cut a rack in half and then eat and have left overs lol. My grandchildren request my oven baked Mac and cheese when we have them over for ribs. Please, please enjoy your life and spend quality time together. Life is short and time is fleeting. My honey would say don't trust me.... I always tell him it's just a little piece further down this road. Twelve miles later 😅. But i love walking 🚶 I average 50 plus miles a week just because.
We actually did a porkbutt last weekend and turned out sooooo good!! Working on the brisket next! We definitely make it a point to enjoy life and spend some time with just the 2 of us, couldn't agree with you more!🙂
Check in is at 3:00 and check out is at 11:00. They do have a big shade you can pull down to cover the window, neighbor wise didn’t need to close it cause there isn’t anyone close by you, but for the light in the morning didn’t want it to wake us up so we did pull it down. Definitely recommend going, was such a cool experience!!
At 6.37 you can see a waterfall behind us, not much flow cause it hadn’t rained in a while but you can see if you really look. Definitely should have gotten a better shot though. Again at the end but I don’t think you can see it very well.

You said you saw a waterfall but you never showed it to us!

Did you all feel like the location was safe?
It wasn’t too crowded and being an hour or so away from home, we are somewhat familiar with the town and it’s a pretty quiet area!
What’s the red phone on the wall?
They have an emergency line there incase you don’t get reception. We didn’t have a problem with our phones, but some spots may have been iffy.
