This is a beautiful piece that truly reflects the best of Haki & his presence in the world. Intentionally or other wise he was my teacher for a good 2 years of my life. He helped to shape my poetic voice. He was generous in so many ways. His background would have predicted him being another member of shadow world of gangster comings & goings, ruthless false manhood. I am thankful for his library & the dinners with people from the black world who came through his home. Asante Sana !
This is great Terrance! I love this and all your music. Do you have any interest in doing a PI pilot with your group of students? I think it would be great at this time. Please contact me if so.
Yes, he is one of the first spoken word poets. Met him when he performed and had writing workshops in college in the 70's. He's written several books and also is a publisher. I'm good. Hope all is well with you. peace

I've listened to 17 nujabes tracks on this playlist and haven't had one advert, not even the media disturbs his music or his soul
First, I thought that´s a Gil Scott Heron song. Damn Nujabes, you are always impressing me again and again...
Haki Madhubuti, is an author, poet, speaker, activist from the 60's. He's reciting one of his poems on this track. It is his voice you hear. peace
