    Excellent points all the way! Great help to those planning their future in the US. Thank you Dr. Sambhara. One point I would like to make is that even those who are not single can make it big if their partner's/spouse's career aspirations are aligned with theirs. I personally know many who have successfully navigated through this path with relatively minimal effort just because they are aligned - professionally, financially, and socially.

    One advantage many Indian immigrants have is that they are already graduates with a bachelor’s degree which would cost tens of thousands of dollars in the usa

    Regarding the personality, Europe is very very very hardcore and in fact this also plays in your citizenship test which makes harder to get a citizenship in Europe.

    Will be 31 planning to do residency in us passed mbbs at 28 i am an unmarried woman . I know very well that I probably may not make it big or may not be most successful doctor in usa and i know very well that I may get only j1 visa and if lucky get h1b visa . I may not even get opportunity to be in usa if iam unlucky and i know my chances to get green card is pretty slim but that's ok I wish to come here to pursue residency and learn from top shot people and have pretty realistic expectations . If i have to return i would bring back knowledge to india and serve indians ....thank u for your video ...i don't know what making big in usa is but I feel if u have realistic expectations and get satisfied with what u get u will not get disappointed and it will hurt much less. I take coming to usa as getting top notch education weather i live their or not in future and nothing more nothing less. If i do get chance to live in usa forever i may give a thought but I know knowledge acquired in usa isn't waste . Many people in early 20s are pretty clueless , not everyone makes great choices even if they have all the privileges and resources. Yes those who have advantage of youth should definately use to its best potential but how many are really able to do so? I understand unfair advantage and privileges exist but choice , decision-making and personal judgment also exist . Every privileged person may not make best choices even Elon Musk was bankrupt many times, jack ma wasn't sucessfull untill 40 . Their are so many wealthy people across globe so we should also have many Elon Musk and Ambani's? but we don't and that's because of choices, judgment and intuition which money cannot buy neither can privileges. I ain't hopeless romantic nor i am a clueless optimist but the only certainty we have is our actions

    Sir, is being in the top 5% in career and income in US is success? While the person has to leave behind the roots, relations, language, country and eventually loosing one's own self trying to assimilate into different culture to see that so called success..

    • @achyuththouta6957
      @achyuththouta6957 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Why would a person lose himself trying to assimilate in the US? Sure he will have to leave behind the other things but he may never get some opportunities in India that he will get in the US. Even IITians here work as managers at some good firms. Yes they earn well but most of them do not become engineers unless they took computer science engineering. Majority of those doing Bsc, Msc I see are preparing for govt jobs which is totally unrelated to what they studied. So maybe he might discover more about himself while in the US too. Some of his inner strengths might come to light. There's a reason people want to settle in US. It's not that people dislike India. Nobody dislikes the country they are born in. It's just that there are some things which you can do in the US which you can't here

    Bit of BS. Most of these did not make sense. You are judging success for research and academic career. You have not worked in Industry long enough to define in a general manner.

      what a convenient way to say things but in such an ambiguous manner. I listed 5 factors that make success more likely in the US. Which of them was not accurate and why? Without being specific one can say anything that pleases them

    Hey sir, Adhil here.
    The reason I'm commenting is, i need your advice.
    I'm currently pursuing my 12th Computer Science in India. And i would like to be a Tech Entrepreneur. And I've developed Ethical Hacking and Mobile App development skills. And now i have started my Startup (Not Registered) but i managed to find one client. My idea is not a 1 in a Billion idea but still it has a high chance of success than the average idea's! My success is dependent upon my Execution. So i just wanna ask is after passing 12th should i dropout and join a Software company as a Mobile app Developer and in the same time give my 100% to my startup! Or should I apply to USA Universities to pursue BS in Computer Science? Success is not guaranteed in my startup i could also fail. So what is your opinion about it? I'm not a from a rich background. so i cannot join some Top US universities what I'm thinking is so 2 years in some Indian Universities and then Credit transfer to some us universities like San Francisco State University, San Jose State University etc.. on an average this 4 years will only cost me around 27 Lakhs ( Tution Fees )
    So what is your opinion? ( I'm not interested to complete my degree in India, i love my country but i hate this education system not gonna waste another 4 years )

    • @montyi8
      @montyi8 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also check cost of living near those colleges you mentioned. What local Americans state for living cost will be much higher than for Indians as most Indians share apartment.
      Check for scholarship if you have an outstanding profile. Go to those colleges where you get one.

  • @kanikshagarg1728

    I have all of these factors excepts an already settled family or friends.
    I wanna pursue a phd in US or Germany. But I don't have any family or friends there.
    Nd I'm afraid, I will feel lonely after going there.
    This thing pulls me back to pursue a PhD degree. that's why I think I should rather get settled down in India only.. with a career in coaching industry

    • @montyi8
      @montyi8 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adding my thoughts- PhD will take around 5 years to complete, and you'll be working min 5 years after that to recoup the cost and save money. Consider this.

      $265,000 household income or $140,000 individual income. But I am not 100% sure about this. The numbers could vary based on the source and the numbers could be very different depending on the state in which one lives
