- This video shows how to project any textures from Omni point lights, rectangular lights or spot lights in UE 5 as well as how to do light linking (lighting channels) and flipbook animations. I also gloss over using midjourney and dalle-2 artificial intelligence. (One for a future video maybe?)

Im switching to unreal after years of rhino/maya. still amazes me what things people can do in unreal. great job!
That's awesome. You will not regret switching or adding Unreal to your toolset.
I used maya for 10+ years and started to switch over to blender and unreal about 3 years ago. I haven't opened maya in over 2 years now. So happy I did it. I feel like my output + range + productivity doubled because the workflows are so much faster.
For me the first thing that got me to leave maya was the PBR workflow in blender vs maya hypershade. I can ctrl + shift + T in blender on a material and load in 5 different maps into the material in one click and have them all hook up correctly for me. Such a time saver for me with my 1000+ collection of pbr maps. Then I kept finding more and more of these little time savers. So good. It took me about 4 months of using Blender daily to almost completely stop using Maya.
Search youtube for "blender node wrangler" if you want to see what I am talking about ... not that I want to bash Maya. Maya is a fantastic tool that can do incredible things in 3d and there are still things like live link with unreal that I wish we had over in Blender.
That's so creative! Great job
Really cool, thanks for posting this. Looking forward to giving this a go!
