Ice711 got un-hacked!! I know I’m commenting on this video pretty late, but I am glad to see that you somehow got your channel back! I thought that you would be gone forever! Welcome back ❤❤
I've flown on the 737 MAX 8, and honestly, it wasn't bad. I think that the 737 MAX has ruined the 737's reputation, but not the older models. Great video once again Ice 711.
the problem with the max isn’t that it’s a bad design, it’s boeing itself, the aircraft on its own is fantastic when shady business practices aren’t holding it back
Fun Fact: Alaska Airlines has operated at least one 737 in each series. Including: the 737 200, the 737 400, the 737 700, 800, 900, and 900ER, and the Boeing 737 MAX 8, and MAX 9.
The reason why the 737 max is suffering from so many issues is because the 737 platform has been stretched so much that it’s trying to fill the gap of the 757 when the 737 was originally built to compete with a regional jet. The A320neo is far better off because it’s only on its second generation. Boeing should have redone the 757 instead
0:30 I showed this picture to my friend in my 8th PD. class at school which is around the time you uploaded this video 😕 Also the documentary on Netflix about the 737 max's called Downfall: the case against Boeing🙄 is really interesting... I've seen it twice ❤
We are so greatfull that you got your channel back❤ i just thought that i couldnt watch that rc a380 videos ever again😢 im so happy (all of us probably are) that you got your channel back❤ Wish you the best in your channel!
The NG series was quite streched close to airframe limits, even tho they were best among the 737 series, the MAX was streched beyond that, that's why they needed to add MCAS, so they should've probably updated the 757 instead, or just design a new aircraft
Hi ice sorry that I haven't really been watching I've just been dealing with stuff..... I hope you know your videos are helping me with my depression I appreciate you and keep going please. 😊
I would say that, to a certain extent, not only the 737's reputation has been spoiled, but also Boeing's. As that the two 737max crashes was for the same cause, so people would blame boeing (which I don't think they're really wrong). However, when you think of it as a whole, it's not really possible to replace ALL of the 737s just because it's got two fatal crashes for two main reasons. 1), as the video talked about, of how MANY 737s are produced and operated; 2) relying on entirely airbus, embraer, comac etc., would be difficult, as [some] airlines wouldn't want to switch to these manufactures as it would require more training etc.
good points. btw i did wonder right now, if the mcas could be replaced by a fully MECHANICAL solution (finally an analog computer as we had in the past). _i do mean it._
The 737 is a legendary airplane, but I think Boeing should finally make a totally refreshed, new replacement for it. The airframe is over 60 years old, just let bro retire😭
Yes, the one sepicific airline DID make a replacement, the 757, but they retired it due to the fuel-wasting engines. I think they should make a MAX series for the 757 (remember to make it safe!) and produce a bunch of those.
Addressing the 737 MAX Controversy Another key strength of Ice11’s video is the balanced and honest way he addresses the 737 MAX crisis. The two fatal crashes involving Lion Air Flight 610 and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 were a major blow to Boeing’s reputation and to the aviation industry as a whole. In this video, Ice11 does not shy away from discussing the flaws that led to the crashes, particularly the issues surrounding the Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS). He provides a clear explanation of how the software malfunctioned and why it caused the tragic accidents. However, Ice11 also explores the aftermath of the crashes, highlighting Boeing’s response and the changes made to the aircraft to ensure its safety. This balanced portrayal shows that while the 737 MAX was undeniably marred by tragedy, it also underwent rigorous scrutiny and improvements, ultimately returning to the skies in a safer form. Ice11’s ability to present both sides of the issue without bias adds depth and credibility to the video, making it both informative and fair. Engaging Presentation and Clear Structure The video’s presentation is another highlight. Ice11 is known for his engaging style, and this video is no exception. His narration is clear and easy to follow, complemented by visuals and animations that enhance understanding. Whether explaining the 737's technical specifications or walking viewers through the MAX crisis, Ice11 uses visuals to break down complex concepts, making the video more engaging and easier to digest. The video’s pacing is also excellent. Ice11 knows how to maintain viewer interest by moving smoothly from one topic to the next, without overwhelming the audience with too much information at once. He provides enough context to keep the viewer engaged, but never veers into unnecessary technical jargon that might alienate less experienced viewers. Conclusion In conclusion, "Is the 737 a Success?" is a fantastic video that not only answers the question posed in its title but also offers a comprehensive overview of the Boeing 737’s long and storied history. Ice11’s ability to present a balanced and well-researched narrative, while keeping the video accessible and engaging, makes it an excellent resource for anyone interested in aviation. His thoughtful analysis of the aircraft’s impact, combined with a clear-eyed look at its challenges, makes this video both informative and enjoyable to watch. Ice11 has once again demonstrated why he is one of the most respected voices in the aviation TH-cam community.
