  • What is the Sire S3 cheaper than the Sire S7. At first glance it's not that obvious but you will spot the Sire S7 has locking tuners while the Sire S3 has standard tuners, the Sire S7 has a roasted maple neck while the Sire S3 has a rosewood fretboard and maple neck, the Sire S7 has abalone dot inlays while the Sire S3 has ivory inlays, and the Sire S7 has better pickups and fancy wiring while the Sire S3 uses cheaper components all round with regard to electronics.
The Sire S3 is only £370 and has an alder body, bone nut, 22 fret and a 9.5" fretboard radius. It looks as though it has the same 2 post tremolo that comes on the Sire S7 and it feels amazing to play. It's a great weight and the satin back of the neck is lovely.

Listening back to this, the S3 sounds amazing on the bridge with the extra distortion 🤘 Sire guitars are just incredible!

Played both. The neck on the s7 is wonderful. The s3 neck is great but not somthing that stands out.
I bought the s3 eventually. You cant beat that price. Perfect

Clean, I prefer the cheap one. The Green one sounds weak and thin.

Agree, and with some drive the humbucker sounds warmer and fuller on the S3.

Got the s3 a couple days ago. It is a great playing guitar. Neck feels good, and sounds pretty good out of the box, stays in tune very well. However, the frets all were very sharp and every fret bottom and top needed filed, and polished. The setup wasn’t perfect, but not bad. Definitely needed a good setup. But other than that it is well worth the $399.00 price! What I didn’t expect was the weight! This guitar is much heavier than the American strat I used to have a few years back! Not that it’s a big deal, just thought it would be much lighter than it is. I would compare the weight to the Gibson Les Paul Deluxe I had in the 80’s. But please don’t get me wrong, I really like the guitar! A good setup, and maybe down the road some new pickups, and the guitar rocks!

I'd pay the extra money for the S7 simply because of the roasted maple neck. Soooo smooth. Both are quality products at an ultra-affordable price.

Oh yeah OD covers up the difference in sounding pretty much, second hand market equalizes the difference I have seen a lot of S7 on FB in the region of 250 GBP then there is no question which one you would go for. Great video, thx

Yeah I agree Mike, there are a few reviews of the S7 that include sound samples with the tone rolled back a little and this completely changes the character of the stock pickups ‘warming them up’ by bringing in some mid’s and bottom end.

I'd rather have the brightness and just roll back the tone, than not have the brightness. It would be like saying a guitar has too many frets. I'll take 'em all, thank you.

The bridge saddles are cheap in the S3. No big deal though. You can by stainless steel fender saddles for 30 bux. I would change the tuners on the S-3 if I buy one but need to find some one that sells them Those tuners are staggered in height on the Sire to eliminate the string tree. Might be hard to find unless Sire would allow you to buy from them. They might want way to much money for them. So the diferences are locking tuners, cheaper bridge saddles and roasted maple neck. Obviously the pick ups are of lesser quality but most of the reviews I had seen said they were in fact hotter than the ones in the S7. They sound ok to me.

Alright let’s be honest. Those pickups sound like completely a*s. Get yourself a MIX strat Lonestar. You get two single coil Texas specials and a pearly gates humbucker.

What's most important between thise two guitars is Roasted Neck. Guitars with roasted neck are better for simple reason. Roasted neck humidity and room temperatures doesn't shrink Neck as it would shrink neck of none Roasted neck. 👉Roated neck guitars with stainless steel feets, rounded frets ends and not gIoss finished necks are the the Best neck ever made. With my over 50 guitar playing and experience in guitars designs as a real industrial design engineer with 47 years of working experience yet knowledg of details of guitars desines and knowledge of electronics those two guys are kids for me in regards of guitars design. No offence but facts are facts. You might be playing guitar well but knowledg of guitars design is something that most people dont know much about. One of those two gentlemen has mentioned copper materials. All pick-ups have copper wiring windings. However, it's used also for electronics shieldings or special paint as a shieldings for pick-ups and electronics on guitars body coavities. Yet on pickgurd/scratch guads underneath should be also shielding by self adhesive foils too. Those important facts most videos of guitars reviews aren't mentioning.💗🕊️🌍👌
