Apologies for the lack of uploads on this channel lately! Been away on holiday for the first time in 6 years so just had a bit of time to relax and that. Back to doing what I love now. Hope you enjoy this one❤ Longest solo vid yet x
The restaurant closed in december 2011 after dealing with a declining local economy and negative reviews. Abby worked as a personal trainer until 2021 and is now in the painting industry. Rico still works in finances to this day.
Kudos to Cam for worrying about Abby. I admit she wasn't the one I was worried about. Rico let himself be carried along on the roller coaster to disaster. 19:21 Glad Rico is OK, but there's no such thing as a "sleeping partner" when the business is tanking. He should have stood up to Abby, or at least have encouraged his workers to come to him with grievances, customer complaints and suggestions. I hope all the serving staff and kitchen staff found other jobs with better employers.
Most chefs have a reliance on energy drinks, smoking/vaping and an unethical amount of alcohol after the shift to relax yourself (from past experience, it helps you chill after stressful shifts)
I'm so impressed by how generous and understanding you are here about Abby, giving her the benefit of the doubt and showing her empathy. This is an AMAZING quality of yours that I admire, because I usually can't muster it the way you so easily do.
23:00 I'm currently in college of hospitality. I’ve worked in restaurants to gain experience with how food gets tampered with all the time. I worked in a 5-star hotel once, and there was a horrible guest who would abuse the staff relentlessly. She was going on a road trip, and the staff put laxatives in her food. Great video. Keep up the good work!
I don't know what it is but any time something super stressful happens, I wind up binging Kitchen Nightmares. And now my favourite TV show blogger is on the case? Chef's kiss
I genuinely think that the producers or someone swaps the food around in the refrigerator downstairs because she was like “it wasn’t like that before you came”
"I just finished watching this episode of Kitchen Nightmares, and I have to say, it was one of the most intense and eye-opening episodes I've seen. The sheer amount of tension in the kitchen, along with the owner's blatant refusal to acknowledge the problems, was both heartbreaking and infuriating to watch. It’s difficult to fathom how someone can be so disconnected from the reality of their business, especially when you see the passion that Gordon Ramsay brings to help them. What struck me the most was how the lack of communication between the staff and the owner created such a toxic environment. It’s a reminder that a successful restaurant is not just about the food; it’s about the team dynamics and leadership. The way Ramsay tried to mediate and teach them about the importance of teamwork was inspiring, but it was painful to see them struggle to accept criticism. It also made me reflect on the impact of negative attitudes in any workplace. The chef’s frustration was palpable, and it’s a stark reminder of how critical positive reinforcement and constructive feedback can be in fostering a healthy work culture. It’s so crucial for restaurant owners and chefs to be receptive to change and to be willing to learn. I hope other struggling restaurant owners watch this and take note of the consequences of stubbornness and pride. Overall, this episode left me with a mix of emotions. It's a testament to Ramsay’s dedication to helping others, and a wake-up call for those who don't realize that sometimes you need to swallow your pride to save what you love. Kudos to the crew for their hard work, and I truly hope they find a way to turn things around moving forward. This episode was a harsh but necessary reminder of the realities of the restaurant industry."
Okay how is this worst than Amy, the crazy cat lady? Not only did Gordon walk out on them, but in the followup episodes when they come back to see what happened a year or so after the episode went out, Gordon made a whole episode on that looney, but he didn't go back himself.
Kitchen Nightmares is my favourite show of all time! Abby is truly one of the most iconic subjects of the series of all time. I'd love to see you do a vid on the new seasons Cullinary Gangster! What an episode!
I know this was posted months ago but can you please react to Amy's baking company? Because that episode IS MENTAL and Gordon left before Even trying to help the owners... It was THAT BAD...
I think she probably fired the head chef because he or she didn’t agree with what Abby was doing. Or how she was running the kitchen so Abby just sacked them
Cam your teeth are lovely, its quite cute having one in front. Youre a good looking man and dont let anyone tell you different ❤ also love the accent, im from Belfast N.I so British too but Geordie accents are gorg to me
Finally, a youtuber that actually interacts iwth their community without it needing to be for a video. GORDON RAMSAY YELLS WAY TOO MUCH, HE IS NOT A GOOD IDOL, but he is very kind to his family, so don't worry, they are safe.
i once saw something about food bloggers, and it was that if you go into a restaurant and get out a little notebook (or clipboard if you're feeling fancy) and take notes and photos of the food, they will see that you are a blogger or reviewer and hopefully get your food out faster... i have never tried it but i really want to after watching this

Yeah I'm a chef ATM, luckily I'd use exercise and nutrition but it happens all the time 😞
Haha yep, I'd be downing 6+ 500mls energy drinks a day. Most of my coworkers did harder Dr+gs.

We need more kitchen nightmares, not sure if you've ever reacted to Amy's bakery episode but she's 8 kind of insane and so is her husband

The owners saying their food is perfect is like the hotel owners on The Hotel Inspectors who can't see issues with their failing hotels.
OMG I FORGOT ABOUT THAT SHOW
It would be awesome to see Cam react to The Hotel Inspector.
Cam said "Hello, you beautiful PEOPLE" instead of DONUT. And now I'm having an existential crisis
kitchen nightmares is elite reality tv
So good

There IS three P’s in “Pepper” but they had 4

I’ve read they don’t as Gordon is completely against producer influence. He refuses to let them get involved in Hell’s Kitchen too.
apparently the restaurant is closed now! still, according to google, abby is doing well and actually works as a personal trainer!
A personal trainer makes so much more sense for her 😭
