      Thank you for your kind words. You can always try amateur fighting or sparring. See where that takes you under a watchful eye.

    Outstanding pointers. I was definitely developing bad habits with gloves on. I will implement these drills bare knuckle to correct my form and also condition my hands. But using your caution tips for training this way as I progress. I have a Nazo 135 pound bag that I was using for glove work. But added a Title Soft Strike bag to incorporate the bare knuckle training. Thanks for the Video !

      anytime. Just make sure you're not trying to punch the bottom portion of the bag, because usually that is the stiffest/densest portion of the bag.

    This is a good video. Especially the part about the knuckles exercise on how to make sure you are hitting with your knuckles. But as far as hitting the bag and than just pulling it back. I found that my problem was always actually pushing too much into the bag and actually not having my arms relaxed enough. I always stiffened my arm at the end but I found that although you obviously need to stiffen your arm at the end if I stiffen my arm relatively late i actually get more power. at least that is what my brother who has more experience with it tells me.

      Different strokes for different folks. I like to think of punching and landing your punches like a whip. I can't remember who told me that analogy back in the day, but it makes sense, when you are trying to land punches at first. You'll get positive feedback from the back once you start landing your punches correctly. It is a feeling that just comes with time and under a watchful eye.

    Hi, very interesting stuff, thanks I'd also like your thoughts on hooks and how to avoid the same pitfalls as hitting the bag incorrectly with the straight punches?

      I'll try to put something together. But keep in mind the punching you are doing on the bag with out wraps or gloves is not intended to be hard punches.
      Thanks for commenting !

    I’ve been training my wife and she was turning her fist and I realized she wasn’t “knuckling up “ well enough were she was squeezing way to hard with pinky and ring finger instead of really locking up the middle and index with the thumb which was causing wrist twerking … it was warping her arm all the way up to the shoulder … it took a bit but she’s correct now and can nail a heavy fat dense tear drop bag bare knuckle albiet i stop her from doing more that 15 seconds cuz she’s a girl with nice hands 😅

    Hi! Are you a natural left-handed or are you natural right-handed and staying on southpaw stance?

    • @PalacBoxing
      @PalacBoxing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A Magician never reveals his secrets...I'm naturally right handed, but there are many things I prefer to do with my left hand, shovel snow, sweep, shoot a gun or when I play pool, or when I throw a frisbee...

      @@PalacBoxing It turns out that you are doing all this in order to develop two hemispheres of the brain or because it is convenient for you? And which hand do you have is still more accurate and stronger ? Thank you for the detailed answer!

    • @PalacBoxing
      @PalacBoxing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rabbitroger7620 my right hand is definitely stronger. But when I turn orthodox throwing the right hand doesn’t feel as tight and comfortable as shooting my left hand as a southpaw.
      I’ve learned more after my competitive career, to fight as a orthodox fighter to help people I’ve trained along the way, because I have to assume the orthodox position when we are/were doing drills or pad work.
      But the lead right hand jab helped me a lot when I did compete.

      @@PalacBoxing Thank you very much for your videos and efforts! I box in southpaw stance, I'm also right-handed. That's why I'm asking, because your boxing level is soooooo insane and good! Good luck for you and I wish you will have more students who will be reaching great heights!
