Whoever is planning to go to Makkah, Madina, or anywhere in Arabia for the first time, I highly suggest that you revisit the Qur’an verses about the creation and look around you when you’re there.
You really start appreciating a lot of the verses that tell us to look at nature. When I was nearby Makkah on the freeway, the mountains really caught me off guard. They are humbling and looked scary, scattered across the entire region.
There are mountains in the Pacific Northwest where I’m from, but not as visible as the ones over there. It was almost impossible to ignore it. And that’s when I realized why Allah often uses the mountains as an example in the Qur’an.
Depending on where you’re originally from, different aspects of the climate will stand out to you when you get there.
Just from the hot climate alone, I began to appreciate the value of Allah’s shade on Judgement Day. And I imagined the level of fear the companions must’ve had when the prophet (peace be upon him) narrated the distance of the sun on that Day.

the Resurrection of the dead.. makes me recall the time we(my co-worker) saw for the first time a dead patient was declared dead..15 minutes waiting time.. then post mortem care was done and we are about to w rapped her (the dead body) she suddenly sat and do a takbeer (by her hands, no words) then collapsed.. we were so scared that time.. so we called doctor to checked and confirmed it was pulseless.. alhamdurillah.. and I'm sure that she is forgiven as she suffered a skin disease (psoriasis ) and during cleaning her her skin disease just washed and a new fresh skin... I can't ever forget that feeling.. of seeing miracles (of all the many-- mostly related to death, cause it's work related) with my own eyes..

Dear sheikh. Tell us more about our purpose in life. How are we to live. We believe but don't understand some things like the words in the quran. E.g. The kaaba before Ibrahim. What is it. Why do we go there. What is siddratul muntaha. Why is it important. Why the white days of the month for fasting. What is the significance of the moon its even have a surah named after it. Why are the last few prophets sent to the area in Israel and Arabia. What is special about these people and lands. Why do all the events happen in deserts and near mountains.
