Oh this was sooooo good, Debra. Thank you for sharing. I am so encouraged to do something with my side yard that I am presently removing weeds grown since the happy rain season we've experienced. Is there a way to control new weeds without hurting my succulents? I have about 20 or 30 succulents that maybe could be planted there. Your enlightening video has inspired me to at least try it. Thanks so much for the great ideas whether planting them in containers or inground. I especially appreciate you naming each plant. I was able to make a few new identifications because of it. Much thanks Debra. I love watching your videos.
Hi Barbara -- Thank you for a wonderful comment! Get those weeds while the ground is still soft. If you pull the roots, you've won; if they stay in the ground, the weed has won (it'll grow back). I use pre-emergent herbicide to keep weed seeds from sprouting. It's one of the few garden "chemicals" I wouldn't be without. One brand is Preen. amzn.to/447VpBf More on this topic: debraleebaldwin.com/succulent-how-to/should-you-use-weed-barrier-fabric/
@@QueenofSucculents Thank you so much Debra. I do have Preen already. So I will get busy with winning over weeds. Much thanks for the heads-up. You are a jewel.💗
