Anyone else dragging their heels right now? Sending a hug if you need one! 👋🏼😊💗 I'm here to spread a little cheer...and I always feel better once I get moving! Let me know what YOU can declutter today! 🔪🍇🥗 Doesn't need to be the kitchen, work ANYWHERE you need to!
I am dragging my FEELS. (Still crusty eyed from allergies.). Thanks for reminding us that we don't have to feel like doing it because we just have to do it.
YES! 😅 The winter blues are setting in early this year! Struggling to keep moving-I came back to your channel to figure out my routines again, hoping it will help me through this winter. Thank you for being a spot of cheer!
Thanks for the hug, I'm sending one back to you. I'm having a blah day so I sure do need a hug today. I decided to finally declutter my beloved aunt's china set. It is very beautiful but I no longer use it and don't envision ever using it again. I was holding on to it because I used to use it several years ago and I think I was subconsciously hoping that I would have a need for it again, but I have finally decided it is time to let it go so someone else can enjoy it as I used to. I know a lot of people no longer want china sets, but it is simple and elegant and I can see someone really loving it like I do. I'm also letting go of a vintage ice bucket that belonged to my mother (fantasy life) and a set of Christmas china (past life). It feels sad but good to let it all go, if that makes any sense! Thanks for the smile and cheer, Diane ❤
Dear Diane, today I thought of you while doing my lol. I don't know if you are aware how much you help(ed) me and others. I am an other person than before following you 😊 Thank you so much! You changed my home and my mindset ❤
I needed your cheerful reminder that I don’t have to feel like doing something, I just have to do it! I decided to use a small notebook to record the items I’m decluttering, to show myself the progress I’m making. When I fill it up, I can throw the notebook!
It's 3 years ago since my brother passed away, so today is tough. I loved watching today's upbeat video. I'm going to concentrate on self care this afternoon. 😊
I haven’t been watching TH-cam much this past while - so sorry to hear about your mum. My sincere condolences for your loss; wishing you peace, and the comfort of happy memories.
We just bought a house and the previous owner did the same thing. She gave me a folder with useful telephone contacts and manuals etc and it was great!
I don't know what I would do without you, Diane! You're a true inspiration. I feel ready to clear out some things from my kitchen that I have been holding on to but not using. Thank you!!
Thank you Diane for the video. Watching it made me realise I should be sorting out my kitchen too. Being single and only ever cooking for myself there is no point keeping things that will never get used.
The daylight savings shift is getting to me in the evenings. Self care is snuggles with my cats and easy mea preps. 🎉 Your inspiration is helping me declutter as I unpack. ❤
Brand new granddaughter this week has kept me soo busy with the big sisters…so glad my routines have helped me keep things under control, cuz there’s no extra bandwidth for deep cleaning or decluttering at the moment. Thanks for the constant encouragement; it really has helped me. 🎉
I have been dragging lately as well! So glad I'm not the only one! Have been pushing through, day by day with my routines and encouragement from you, Diane! 🎉 Rah, rah, rah!!❤
I am loving all of the decluttering motivation Diane. You change my life and thoughts about things every time. I have been with you for lots of years and yet I need the motivation over and over again. I'm grateful to hang with you. ❤
As said earlier i will be taking note of "holiday" cooking pots and serving dishes thru Thanksgiving and Christmas this year and sending the unused to new homes . What a brilliant idea , learn something everytime . Awesome .
Hi Diane! I'm struggling with having lots of food stored in kitchen cabinets but nothing to eat! I'm trying to meal plan to use it up before the holidays, and pass on the things we won't use...Thanks for the motivation!
I have something similar in my freezer. I need to make some space in there by using up some of the odds and ends I toss in. Maybe if we could combine your pantry and my freezer stash we could come up with a delicious spread😂 good luck!
Hi Diane! Thank you. I got my routines, lol done, and I decluttered a little today on one of my hutches. Taking a wee break while I watch your video and have coffee. I will be decluttering my desk next! I hope you have a great weekend! ❤
Thank you! I appreciate your time and talent to keep us all going! Today I donated four large bags of clothing and miscellaneous to the local thrift store.
I love the idea of de-cluttering for a new life. Having that goal is so meaningful to me and makes deciding what to keep and what to toss so clear cut. Thank you Diane!
I’m clearing out my friend’s craft room, after she passed away in September. My decluttering has been put on hold, as my lounge room is full of her things with more to come. It’s definitely inspiring me to declutter my craft area once I’m done with hers. I love Biscoff spread! We discovered it in England in 2019, now it’s everywhere in Australia. Biscoff cheesecake is delicious!
Hi Diane had 4 robes didnt need 4 .Left one at Library was gone so quick so glad someone needed it..Thank again for all you do and your inspiration Take care b safe..
Hi Diane, we are declutterring here in Argyll with the view to a move next year…you inspired me tonight…that’s the baking cupboard done…tons in a bag for charity shop …life is so much lighter when you declutter. My husband is also on board now….we plan on leaving with very little. I read that when the Duke of Edinburghs mum died….she owned one cardigan…I don’t think I shall match that …but thank you for the inspiration as always ❤
Thank you Diane. You’re right about the other members of the family getting on board. My husband is joining in now and he’s made great progress with his sheds. He has been and bought some boards though and is planning to build some shelves in there so at least he’ll be able to see and use what he has. We don’t really do much Xmas stuff but he’s going to visit his daughter and her family in a couple of weeks. I will stay here with the dog and enjoy a bit of quiet relaxation. Thanks as always for the inspirational prompts. We have that steel pot ….my husband uses it when he makes marmalade 😊. I’ve had my lovely winter candle lit while I was watching this
The little wire thing you put in the kettle works really well for me. The limescale soon seems to build up on it and then you just roll it on the bottom of the sink so the scale flakes off and you can rinse it away.
I went through my shopping bags which had grown exponentially over the past few years. I donated, tossed and put together bundles to keep in cars and sorted that end of my pantry which had been a mess for a long time. Only took 15 mins :)
We are temporarily moving out due to the neighbors catching the building on fire and lots of water damage. I considered myself a minimalist. When it came to packing up my husband and my daughters belongings, I was in shock. We do keep things in a shed in backyard of camping gear which we do use multiple times a year. My husband also bought each kid snowboards and snow gear, then each child a Kyak. Needless to say, our vacations are fun, but we have too much stuff!!
The election has had life changing results for all of us. We are in a state of shock and are doing our best to keep going forward. although we face the terrifying unknown, I am keeping myself and family in a positive routine, Just finished doing the whole list for zone 2 kitchen. Trash night, so we sift out any items that need to go, be recycled, or donate and load in the car for drop off in the next morning. Lasagna from the freezer and will make a pot of chili and a pan of cornbread for the weekend. This weekend I will spot clean the windows and tracks while we have some bright weather. we are just keeping going.😂
I’ve fully become an empty nester this week Diane. I’m decluttering so much more now. Your advice on keeping things for the life you have and not a fantasy life has really struck a chord. xx
