God I love both demos, the guy had a really nice and smooth tune for us, it was really nice. But man, the lady was making me feel like I was in a different world, especially that second to last chord she hit... very nice 👏👏

I got this 3 tone sunburst player tele as my first guitar in my life just a couple of weeks ago, and started to learn to play it. Im 43 years old and I hope it is not too late to learn!

My dad is in his 60s, I'm hoping to get him into it, he's always wanted to learn but never had the motivation.
I'm hoping he can enjoy playing and learning enough that he doesn't feel late even at his age. I wish the same for you too man, don't forget to have fun, that's what it's all about 🤙🎸

Oi Fender, amazing players and still the greatest guitar. Nothing bends like a Telecaster. Life changer. Also, can we all agree that the lady playing there is insanely gifted ?

i love my player tele, i just wish i could have found one with less stabby frets...considering that my squier had perfect fret work, one could assume that an instrument twice the price would as well.

Unfortunate, but something a guitar shop will be able to fix for a reasonable cost.

Bought back my 2013 from a pal a few weeks ago...got the Tele itch in my old age......had McNelly pups...then I dropped a pearloid/tortoise pickguard to copy the Tele Pro II....and also put in vintage bridge plate and brass saddles....NICE!

I've had a Squier Affinity, 2 Fender MIM Standards (1994, 2014), Fender American Standards (2009 and 2013 w/ stock Custom Shop pickups, 2003 Fender AVRI '52 and the stock Player Tele is the only Telecaster I've ever really bonded with. Absolutely love the sounds through my Supro Blues King and tweed Fender Champ clone. Seems to stay in tune fine, won't check tuning for a couple weeks, when I do, it is in tune or very close (not sure if it might fluctuate more based on the weather/temp or my playing/bending to be completely honest. I'm always looking forward to plugging the guitar in and practicing. Not using any pedals. Just a really fun guitar that sounds great. All 3 positions sound different, tone control works really well. I actually prefer the 6-saddle bridge because the 3-saddle traditional bridge has the high sides on it and I never liked that. Not a big enough guitar nerd to worry about about steel vs. brass saddles and all that. I've had both. I just know the guitar sounds killer through my amps and that's all that matters to me.

I’ve looked up Horace’s music and while it’s great, I don’t hear playing quite like his demos. Wish he would record full songs like his Fender demos…I’d listen to them constantly

Comparing the differences between a 2014 MIM Standard to a 2021 Player I own: Different headstock logos (60's CBS style on Standard/50's on Player), Player is supposed to have a slightly thicker body (I can't tell the difference), AlNiCo pickups on Player/ceramic on MIM Standard, back of Player neck possibly a bit smoother, a bit more knurling on the Player volume + tone knobs. Fret ends on both guitars could be smoother, IMHO.

I have the sunburst, weighs 7lb 10oz. I really like the neck pickup but swapped out the bridge pickup

  • @mediastarguest

I prefer the six individual string saddle bridge arrangment of the Player guitars. I've always rested my right-hand on or slightly around that type of bridge or the stoptail or tunomatic of other guitars.
It's also said that greater intonation adjustment is possible with this arrangement than the two-way bridge saddles on the Performer series.
The fact that these cheaper than USA, Corona-made guitars are made in Mexico shouldn't really be made an issue. The alder body and maple neck combination is still being used. And the Mexican factory ? It's only barely across the California - Mexican border !

If the message is good, no harm in keeping it alive.
(As an aside, I suspect English isn't your first language. If you're interested, the correct construction would be: why are you reviewing old models? The Player series has been in production since 2018 or so.)

Ok, so, yeah I am looking for a telecaster. But, there’s many choices out there. Many don’t deserve the name ‘telecaster’ because they are not a Fender. They call them T-types. But my choice will come down to price and value.

Don't worry about your Tele not being a Fender. Mine is from a Greek brand, yet it's pretty awesome. Nowadays, most of the time, other brands tend to do the Tele "thing" better than Fender does.

    • @theshredguitarist25
      @theshredguitarist25 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@elefsidino no no… just buy a Fender. The knock off brands are a waste of time and effort.
