i used to go to Virginia city ALOT as a kid.. alost once a year. i wish i would have known more about it so i could have had a better understanding. i would like to go back soon!

Yep! Stayed at the Tahoe House about 3 years ago. We were the only guest in the hotel. My wife was walking the hallways and ran into this guy coming out of a room. He appeared startled. My wife said hello and he said hello back. He then quicly turned and reentered the room. He was rather short for a man, greased back hair, moustache and wore suspenders. Minutes later the manager returned to the hotel and my wife told her that she thought she and her husband (me) were the only ones there. The manager assured her we were the only ones there. My wife told her of meeting this man and pointed out the room he came out of. The manager used her keys and entered the room, there was no one there and no guest had registered in that room in days. The manager was so flipped out she and her husband slept in the room next to ours as a precaution, nomally after hours they went home and slept in their own beds. Turns out the room with the "guy" coming out was reserved for prostitutes who rented the room long term. Very freaky experience
I'm glad you did this video of Virginia City. I was camping in Carson and one morning and spotted a couple of antique hotrods so I followed them to a car show in Virginia City and got to see the place.. It's very nice up there and the climb is almost straight up. I could see the gold mines on the side of the mountains on the way up. At one point I could see clouds at my feet.. That was very nice..

We were at V.C a few years back when a monster cloudburst opened up.they have big rain gutters that dump on the street somebody's Hog was parked right under one.It came down a good 10 min. The street looked like a small river.and our truck got a good nevada car wash.

The white house and garage with green trim on south C street is my old home. Savages lived there since the 60s but Maggie Lowther bought it from the family and put her shop in the basement. My dad was a Deputy Sheriff and my mom worked in the Bucket O' Blood Saloon for Don McBride. I went to school with Marshall McBride.

I'm watching your old videos because usually they are more educational. Not use to seeing you with your joking humor, I can see you have grown to be able to speak to the camera more naturally. I'm still not there I still sound like a robot when it comes to educating people on marine life. Good job by the way.
