Layla's cryo application is really underrated too - I gave her an ER weapon and she is the only cryo character I need on the team to keep most mobs frozen
i really needed a shielder and she was the only one i could have in my roster for now so i’m using her in my hu tao team. ( hu tao, xq and yelan) Sometimes the reaction is with freeze but very rarely because my hydro is faster. You think it’s good for this team? Also what level should i bring her ? now i have 60 with around 20k hp but i could definetely do better most artifact are still 4-12
I'm a Layla main, she's so good. Although, one thing with building her, you can just stack HP & she'll do great, but her burst is such a great applicator (& a lot of her cons have to do with her burst) that you should put a bit into ER, especially if you don't have a HP sword you can just stick a Favonius sword or some other ER sword, & she'll get her burst back pretty quickly. She is essential for my Wanderer, with her shield & constant cryo application for swirling.
@@S1M0NE. I actually have 3 main teams I use, but the Wanderer team specifically is Layla, Wanderer, Faruzan, & Xingqiu. I did use Xiangling for a while, but she ended up moving to a different team. Wanderers biggest difficulty with team comp is that he needs a lost of off field supports to do his best, but some cannot be used with him because he's in the air, & the thing will surround, him so it'll only hit big enemies (it's mostly trial & error for that; For example, Xianglings burst stays on the ground, while Kaeyas burst & Shinobus skill go up with him). I'd say the best supports for him are ones who are coordinated attacks (both ones like Xingqiu, Yelan, & Thoma, & Albedo & Dehya, but I think the first kind works better), or ones who have independent attacks (furina, yae, fischl). & A shielder is an absolute must. He's very fragile & you don't want to waste precious DPS time in the air getting hit or dodging.
I've just recently started building my Layla (I have her at C2) and I've been so baffled that no one talks about this sleepy queen. I've been using her shield to keep Wanderer from getting swatted out of the sky every time a Hillichurl throws a rock.
Ive been using Layla since her release, and I love her so much. I dont have Zhongli, nor many other shielding characters, but for my playstyle, she works awesome :)

@@Ashleydountie my cousin has Tighnari but doesn't have Diluc (she really wants Diluc) and I have C4 Diluc with his skin but no Tighnari XD We sometimes switch account for a couple of hours and use the characters that the other one doesn't have. We made a rule that we don't do quests/events etc. commissions are allowed, running around in the overworld, doing somes bosses, fishing and k*lling some enemies
Exactly! I am hoping to C Noelle up this banner. Her shield is AMAZING and I honestly have her as one of the hardest hitters in my current team. When I heard she wasn't second best shielder I was taken back lol
@@nicolasmonty3692 I guess I got really good with the timing. Yeah her cool down sucks 😅 but her shield can take SO MUCH compared to the other two. I've had people ask why I'm not moving away from a boss and it's because Noelle just takes it enough to land a lot of hits AND her shield carries over to the rest of my team. Then after I can just time it and plan ways to give damage while I wait (or I'll heal with Furina). Stormterror is the best boss for the cool down to where I don't even notice. Other bosses like Signoria not so much 🤣
Curious, what's your build on that if you don't mind my asking? I have Heizou, absolutely love him! Was the second four star I really really wanted to get and eventually did lol I just always feel mine is a little lacking. His skill kicks booty though lol
Beidou and Noelle is basically a powerhouse on their own. You have plenty of Def artifacts after farming for 3 years, surely you have some good artifacts for her, combined with Itto's weapon she can deal at least 30k per ult hit even without Geo Bonus. Beidou easily deal around 35k-55k per counter if you build her right. Impressive Electro support too if you don't have Raiden.
@@HazeEmry the shield is scaled with HP. I'm just saying the artifact stuff about Noelle. Anyone should have a somewhat decent Noelle or any DEF scaled characters even without a signature, 5star weapon
Layla doesn't need stacks unlike kirara however which requires on field compared to thoma who needs stacks but can NA off field and apply pyro. That's the downside to kirara
Semi related, the most underrated thing in this game in general has to be the fact you can Fast Travel even while enemies are near you... It's such a minor but insane convenience that when you're grinding a particular mob drop you can run in, ko that particular enemy, then leave for the next one Instantly. I never see anyone talk about this.

Apparently, even though I love Layla, I think Kirara is better sadly, her scaling on her shield is higher and her burst...has a higher scaling than Zhongli's burst...

I’ve never really considered building YunJin. I’ll add her to my list of characters I plan to build soon. Layla and Tighnari are already there. Yoimiya is one of my favorites as well. She’s just fun.
Tighnari is so good just by using his charged shot you will quite literally ALWAYS have his burst and his elemental skill causes affected enemies to attack EACHOTHER he's really useful early on or when your against large groups
I pulled for Yoimiya during her first ever banner. I do not regret my decision because she carried me through the early stages of the game and I still use her to this day.
Kuki shinobu is very underrated too. I absolutely love kuki for my hyperbloom team. She literally has infinite healing and electro application. And with her healing ending up scaling with EM it just makes her all the powerful for elemental reactions.
Beidou carried me since the beginning of the game and she is such a wonderful character as a whole. I love how her shield absorbs and deals huge dmg so when Candace came out I was so happy that there's a similar playstyle character!
The best thing about Tighnari is that he is incredibly easy to build if you have another dendro with deepwood, since you get WT all the time from bosses, so the sheer number of artifacts you accumulate over time gives you a chance you'll have some good pieces randomly laying around, also he does well with Slingshot... Also Yoimiya is my fav character of them all - cute, friendly, strong... what more would you want... also now you can use her with overload, so Yoimiya/Raiden make very nice fireworks out of enemies...
Yun Jin was my very first pull and my main for most of the game until I got Venti lol. I don’t play her anymore but she still holds a special place in my heart ❤

Layla is definitely my favorite 4*. She's so cute, and she's honestly a really good unit. I have her double crowned currently, with around 34k hp, fav sword, 160 er, and 45/140 crit, and c4. Her shield almost always lasts long enough for Eula to just tank through until her burst goes off, and she does decent off-field dps. I really hope I can get her c6 soon.
I don't think that yoimiya is underrated at all, cuz everyone keeps talking about how she's the "easier to use hu tao" but I really don't see talking people about how suruprising wanderers dmg gets (similar to yoimiya at similar investments) concidering the doomposting and how easy to use he is (I think hes easier to use than even yoimiya with him not being locked to a super shield playstyle (you can dodge and hover while flying and performing normal attacks) and even if you do press shift you at least get some little dmg in return with the arrow things, plus bes got at least a little aoe which like it or not feels better to play in abyss than 0 aoe

I feel like Sara is severely underrated too, people forget she exists. she's a good atk booster in general and even better if you have an electro unit with her C6, you can even make her a hybrid build and just have her buff herself. she's my forever main ill never stop singing her praises
You are so true with the sucrose one. I run her on a team with Yelan, Raiden and either Jean or Baizhu. Using Raiden skill, Yelan burst and Healer burst then attacking with sucrose is absolutely cracked. My sucrose can hit 10k alone let alone all of the other elemental damage effects happening at the same time, and her attack speed is fairly good too

I dont have redhorn and Noelle still hits really hard with Whiteblind or Skyward Pride. C6 is really the only thing needed for her to go really hard.

Kuki Shinobu deserves to be on this list. She is a really good healer, and she is just a cool character.
You are so true with the sucrose one. I run her on a team with Yelan, Raiden and either Jean or Baizhu. Using Raiden skill, Yelan burst and Healer burst then attacking with sucrose is absolutely cracked. My sucrose can hit 10k alone let alone all of the other elemental damage effects happening at the same time, and her attack speed is fairly good too
