His ability to fit into multiple genres, styles is just outstanding 👏 🙌
Not too shabby -- leading a band with this lineup -- for an 80-year-old, with style, elan, panache, and verve.
Scofield adds such a fresh take on the song. His playing is on another level! I’m sure Jerry would have loved playing with him.

Haven't been to a concert since the 1994 Grateful Dead Autumn Tour. 1995 I traveled for work in the spring and summer so I saved my time for the Fall that never happened. With that being said, I'd go see Phil and his friends. This is a really good Saint Stephen.
Phil & Friends has had many line ups since we lost Jerry. The ones with Warren were easily my favorites.
Anything with Steve Kimock & Phil is solid gold 🤘🏾🤤🎶🎧🎶

Some of the best solo development I have seen Warren do. Very tasty. Great tone too.
Warren's tone and playing and phrasing are on fire. So musical. Best I have seen. I like him with chords behind his solos.
I saw Scofield play a PAF show in the mid 2000's. He was excellent.

@@kelleyrogers8107 yeah I like dead and company but something is lacking there. Jay lane sat in the other night, he could just do the whole tour by himself lol. Don’t get me wrong I am glad they are still with us, but it’s just lacking something. But I love the core 4, They will always be my musical hero’s! The Grateful Dead members are my best friends that I never met.

Wow. Who'da guessed? I'm not particularly favorable to Dead redos, but this is good. There was a Dead something or other on Colbert's show a few years ago, and it was embarrassing - Weir, Hart, Kruetzmann, I forget who else, but not Phil Lesh. This has life. Glad to see Phil is still alive, still playing. Warren Haynes, always great. Doesn't try to be Jerry either.

That venue sounded so hollow. So many better venues in CT to play. I’d be hard pressed to go back there again.

Sco breaks a string about 9:40 and the tech is on the spot swap out the ax for the back up.

No need to bag on Bobby and D&Co. They don't need the $'s but they do have a huge operation, hundreds of families to support.
Dead and Company is just fine too. It amazes me that people can’t simply like something or leave it alone. They have to exist in extremes… “I like this, but I don’t like that.” Like you can have the affirmative without the negative my guy.

This was like two different shows. The first set was terrible, bored out of my mind. The second set was smoking start to finish.
Agree. I attended the show. The second set really jammed like this clip. Scofield has the vibe. I saw the Q back in 2002 at the Frost with Herring and Rob Baracco. Wanted to see Scofield. So good. Would like to see the whole show.
This is sort of the McDead version. Sort of the white bread and bologna version.
