MrPyroMaster These high quality rifles are made to do that. The fireing pin never reaches the rim wall.

Thank you! I did not know. I have old competition.22lr rifle, and they seem to trace the firing pin. The previous owners fired a few times dry.

@@mortenbreiland3984 Read The F-ing manual please.
Anschutz specifically states in their manuals that to dry fire use a spend cartridge or a dummy round.
They also have a special firing pin to dry fire for sale.

      @@mortenbreiland3984 Sorry to contradict you to your message earlier; buth this is from the horses mouth directly ( Anschuetz);
      15 Dry firing device
The length of the firing pin is factory-adjusted to ensure that the cartridge
detonates reliably. Long periods of dry firing without a cartridge or a
case in the chamber can cause damage to the firing pin or the rim of the
chamber. For this reason, either a spent cartridge case (replace approx.
every 5 shots) or a firing pin for training (1807T-12) should always be
      used.
With this device, match training can be carried out at any time
      without the use of ammunition.
The removal of the firing pin is described in Chapter 12 ("Bolt").
Taken from their 2015 manual of the 900, 2000 and 4.30 series. Same text was used on earlier manuals of the 1900 series.
      I own a 1913 myself :)

@@ervie60 This is a model 54 from the 60/70's. The manual for these says it can be dry fired! Whether newer models are weaker, there is a disclaimer, or they just want to sell you a dry fireing pin and an extra bolt I don't know. I also have several of these model 54 and have never broken a firing pin.

And, not a word about the Nightforce scope that cost more than the rifle!?!?!

    • @alfonsorodriguez6437

The rifle goes for an easy $2500.00 to $3,000.00. I I have an Anschutz Super Match 1913 with 54 action and not including the the competition sights is $3400.00. Add another 600 dollars for the sights and there you have it. The Night Force is a super scope but it does not cost more than the rifle, just about as much. You can get an Anschutz for well over $4500.00 depending on the stock (metal is more expensive than wood) without the sights. No need to say anything about the Night Force, you have seen the groups the rifle can make with that scope at 200 and 300 yards and that is a rifle designed to hit a 5mm target center at 50 to 100 yards with iris target sights not a scope.

These rifles now are more than that Nightforce scope. The vid is about the rifle. Did you or are you able to read the title?
