I worked for next to "Tobe one kenobi" for a couple of years and have known him for years. Listen to him and you will learn, I learned a lot from him over the years. Glad to see you have a channel.
Was your direct drum sprag free spinning the wrong way I thought it was supposed to spin clock wise and lock counter clockwise in the video it spins counter clockwise and locks clockwise?
Thank you so much! You saved time in not going through the tear down but SO MUCH value added with the information you gave! I'll be watching this over and over when I do mine!
Great video.. I'm building my first 400 and have a question on 3/8 washer add to the pump spring. When I took mine a part to add the spring for the trans brake I notes mine doesn't have the horseshoe washer is there a reason why this one doesn't have it and is it still okay to add the 3/8 washer for 180 PSI. Thanks Johnny
Can the original drum be used with the 34 element sprague or is it not possible. I purchased a 400 and the drum is in excellent shape, like new! Thank you for your videos!!!! B
i have learn over the years u want to get the 02xx 400r turbo to start with for a stock trans they are the best stock they are good to 800 hp plus i get them free with low miles on them u can tell if u have one they weld 02xx on the bell housing from the factory gm calls it strip or heavy application trans
Excellent vid. I didnt know about the dimple trick, that is definitely something I will use in my process from now on when needed.. Thank you for sharing, its appreciated... liked & Subbed.. 👍
This is great. Thank you. May I ask for some help? I did a shift kit with granny in car. I was concerned with the check balls so I used grease to hold them in place. Maybe a lot. Is that going to prevent them from moving? I assumed with 100psi of pressure minimum, of would not be an issue. Now I am rethinking that..... Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.
You said when you replace the rear selective case washer that you also remove the rear thrust washer. When you change to a rear roller bearing, your just replacing the thickness off the rear selective, don't you still need the rear thrust washer on the output shaft?
Great video except sprague direction unfortunately. Also pretty easy to make a tool to hold rear assembly as a unit. Big washer cut to a U with a T handle
Great video, I have a question about the modification to the lube hole on the output shaft. When doing this modification will I then be causing too much of a leak for the rear bushing? Also when you shim the rear bearing (th350 pump bearing) do you stack the shims on the case side or the planetary side?
How am I just finding this? I watch trans videos all the time. I’m now subscribed! Could you do a 4l60e tips video. Edit: I can’t believe I just said that! Lol
I can build and engine from bottom up. Proper valvetrain I mean everything…. Including using the mic (Not Plasti junk). and can watch 1000 of these videos and not understand a damn thing.

Anyone notice the 34 element Sprag was on upside down? He turns it easily counter clockwise several times 👎👎👎 wrong way.
Thank you for posting this video. Real knowledge and experience is hard to find 👍
Outstanding video , thank you for the lesson

Awesome video....THANK YOU!!!
Thank you for taking your time to make the video. I learned alot. Liked & subscribed 💪
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for
Couldn't read the gauge for the glare. Factory dimples are typically how high?
Excellent vid. I didnt know about the dimple trick, that is definitely something I will use in my process from now on when needed.. Thank you for sharing, its appreciated... liked & Subbed.. 👍
Post more videos of transmission builds please
Thank you for this! Fantastic video!
Thank you for sharing your tips n tricks. You did a great job on this vid.

No issue.
Great tips and video! What do you use to flat sand the valve body and pump surfaces?
Thank you.
2000 and a aluminum block.

No
Excellent video , Thank You !!
These tips helped me out, thank you!
Do you ever do the full time oiling mod to the rear planets by drilling a small hole beside the converter feed hole? What's your opinion on this?
Great video except sprague direction unfortunately. Also pretty easy to make a tool to hold rear assembly as a unit. Big washer cut to a U with a T handle
Good stuff !

Great video I learned a bunch of stuff.
I prefer to use aluminum pistons over steel pistons. The wavy spacer doesn't support the bottom steel as evenly as the aluminum piston does.
Thanks so much for this

amazing
GREAT VIDEO
Does anyone know what max line pressure is on a th400 I have 200 at 2000 rpm and it goes up with more rpm like 400
sounds like the spring is holding the valve closed ,,you don't want more than 300 with stock drums

I finally figured it out was the line pressure way to much now I'm just having trouble with the front pump gasket breaking.

Great information and thanks for the knowledge .
