Hi Thank you! Buzz words are: Hx ask abt handidness, job, hobbies O/E: rigid or supple Get an Xray to check for bony avulsion And to assess fragment size and joint congruence. Treatment nonop; mallet splint for 6 weeks... warn abt skin maceration .... Keep pipj free for ROM! If swan neck deformity occurs; central slip tenotomy if supple, arthrodesis if rigid.
