It was the first big match that I was at. I was 10 and Cork dashed the hopes and dreams of a young Tipp supporter on that day, who had never seen his county win a Munster title at that point. What an introduction to Munster hurling. It really was an incredible atmosphere.
@@nlr3047 We had some great games against Tipp in those years from 1984 to 1991. While Cork did beat Tipp in 1992, i thought it was a poor enough game. Cork and Tipperary on Munster final day in Thurles, no other sporting occasion beats it for me.
Tipp just Couldn't seal the deal they tired in them last 5 minutes, the start of a Brilliant team tipp...it set Cork up to win the All ireland no semi final then of any significance for Cork in 1984 only every 2 years @paddy Sullivan VHS 📼 1990s Cork

The first ever Cork match after i was born. I was less than a month old. Seanie (may he rest in peace) really did break Tipps hearts that day.
The audio quality is understandably low but the atmosphere still shines through. Must’ve been incredible to be at this match.
