Fabulous, went twice about 88 and 90 I think. The video is what would be on the big screen so you could see the race when it went upstairs and around the auditorium. They closed the doors and lowered the track in front of them so there was no escape and no way in once the show had started. Terrific memory of a great show, awesome job poster!
this was first West End show I saw, saw it in summer of 85 when I was 4 will never forget it.After then got hooked and in 86 saw Time among others with Cliff Richard[once] and Twice with David cassidy in 88
Thank-you so much for posting! One correction, though. Greaseball and Dinah race in the first race, not the second. The old London's second race featured Rusty, Electra, and Weltschaft.
This was shot via the housecamera/race cams with audio patched in from the soundboard (there was an error when using the input/output cable connecting the camera to the soundboard, so there are small "drops" in the audio). This was given to the cast and crew of the production. This definitely is high generation (look at how green it is...), so it was definitely sold quite a few times until eventually a digital copy was made and rarer/more limited traders got their hands on it. This video is so rare that it took me forever to get it lol.
MadMaxArt Sadly, no. I think the only version of this to become digital was the super high-gen one. I’m sure the original tapes still exist, but all we have for right now is a low quality one :/
