    A big difference we noticed with tracks, is they are so much more stable going through ditches or swales. Tires have so much cushion and small footprint that a small sink hole will pitch the top of the cart a couple feet and when full that is a lot of weight moving sideways.

    Just saw him in a farming convention conference! If your reading this, you did a great job spreading the word of American farmers and how you got started on social media. Keep it up!

    Our Deere dealer has a 1319 just like this one coming in sometime soon. Considering buying it. We've had an Uverferth 9250 on tires since 2008. No issues with the cart, just would like a little more capacity to keep the combine rolling. It's on Equalizer tracks so will have to weigh the cost.

    BJ, thank you for all your input in this video. You had the most time in the seat with it, and it shows with you commenting about how the tracks gave you more confidence and added stability. While reports are great for the bookkeeper; confidence and decreased pucker factor in hazardous situations is what keeps the workers stress levels at a minimum during long days.

    Looks to me like Unverferth spent their money wisely by giving you the use of the machine and you giving your honest review in return !! I don't run it but my son swears by the scales and record keeping ability of their cart and it's a few years old ! A farm news blurb came up on my phone about Fendt unveiling a new high tech planter that looks very interesting , something to look for in Louisville !!! Thanks for the video !

      Yeah I should have shown the scale report printouts but completely forgot to lol I’m fairly sure that the Fendt planter will not be at Louisville unfortunately but I could be wrong. I know it will be at commodity classic

    Hi Mate...🇦🇺
    Nice video on the different points in regards to chaser bins requiring tracks or not. You guys pointed out alot of good points on pro's and con's of running tracked chaser bins.
    You could probably could run a bigger head if you installed a tram track conveyor on the top of the bin, we installed the conveyor tram tracks when we upgraded to run 45 heads and this worked for us... All our chaser bins are with tracks as we primarily farm rice and we find the tracks work well in the wet conditions..

    I agree. Go with tracks. Makes way less compaction.

    Lets just be honest...Tracks on most vehicles or carts look awsome!!👍😂 and looks too be less compaction!💯

    Brian , I always like when you give your opinions on demo equipment . I think you are always fair an honest . It was nice to get BJ’s opinion also . I think that underforth grain cart was pretty nice , those tracks have to help with compaction , unfortunately they are just so expensive . Great video guys !

    Having flat ground like you do helps because tracks in wet conditions on hilly ground can be an exciting experience

  • @thomasbritten7216
    @thomasbritten7216 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    As far as compaction goes it will depend only on the loaded weight of the cart and the contact area between wheels/tracks. Shape of wheels or tracks doesn't change how the soil gets compacted, it goes straight down into the ground either way

    The 19 is the series, they have another corner style cart that is the 60 series. The one you have has the extended forward reach auger. Yes tracks pull harder but if you have the power they will float in the mud not cut into the mud like tires (even floatation tires).

    I agree with you Brian that most farmers in our area don’t have tracks on their grain carts because of the soil that we have, but we aren’t fighting mud as bad as millennial farmer for say. Great vids and keep up the good work.

  • @bootlegger3656
    @bootlegger3656 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I like the cart as well and what you were talking about was the contact patch on a wheel its a lot smaller then the whole track makeing a Hugh contact patch with the ground spreading weight over a large area . I was worried about the little berms the tracks dig in on sharp turns . Seems it wasn't that bad on the turns .

  • @timwiniarski1799
    @timwiniarski1799 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    We have the next size smaller cart in wheels it definitely sits a little high we like tires better because we travel alot with our equipment and our tracked machines we tend to keep them closer to home we farm some down in whashigtion court house and we take our wheeled cart down pulls amazing

    Great job with your thoughts on grain cart. If you could share if you had any failures with the cart and what the problems were, if any, it would be helpful. BJ had a good point - if that cart had tires vs tracks would it be taller? Thanks for the video

    Tracks minimize compaction...spread the lbs./sq. Inch out. Helps

    I think it would be cool if they put some sort of sliding mechanism you can put the ladder from the front to the back depending on where you need to be that's a badass mamajama have a good ones you guys another great season coming up👍👍👍👍👊👊

    I like the tracks for less compaction and for a few other things but One thing that would be nice is a hydraulic drive to kick in when your in muddy or soft condition. Thats a lot of weight to unstuck. Im not sure how it would work but sure would be nice. Maybe an optional training wheel kit for side hill farms like out here in utah or for the occasional drunk farmer that might get tired and lay the machine on its side for a nap! Lol jk but not really. I know a few guys that could benefit.

    single auger takes too long to unload especially wet grain. in our extremme mud conditions the single tire cart was stuck all the time where we could unload onto the track cart and drive away

    If you are concerned with compaction in a no till senario then keep the tracks. The extra maintenance pays for itself.

    Any idea why the tracks (or tires) are always backwards on grain carts? Been helping a friend on a small grain farm for several years and neither of us knows why the tires seem to always be on backwards, in terms of the tread design. Just curious.

    • @BriansFarmingVideos
      @BriansFarmingVideos  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe they pull easier that way. Since they aren’t powered the treads don’t really do anything

    There are a few farmers here that have grain carts on tracks and pull them with tracks. But we do have heavy soils here. If it was me I would have the ladder on the same side as you get in and out of the tractor.

      Jaminggears usa Jim is right. Eric moser grew by attacking a lot of different channels. He would mostly go to different channels and talk badly about them. Sometimes he would post a video about them on his own channels. Talking badly about the other TH-camrs would make other people go to his channels. And then sometimes he would go to Instagram and attack them personally and there family’s. Just to get a reaction video about him...Just saying..
