What an awesome kitchen, and team! I love this video - so clear and straght-forward. I have found great places for good coconut oils, butters and milks. Do you a soure you recommend for pure shea butter? Thanks so much :)
Todah Rabah! Era of Nature is where we get our Shea Butter. Would love to know any recommended vendors you may have for the coconut oils, butters, etc.
@@margaretburrus5421 Essential oils can be used up to the temperature of 212F (boiling) and still be effective. Some people do the boiling method as a way to diffuse essential oils throughout their home instead of using a diffuser. Normal ranges we've seen is 100 F - 140 F to ensure the greatest potency. For the vapor rub we did not check the temp prior to putting in the oils, however we know for sure it was under 212 F as we did not get to a boiling point. Once the shea and coconut oils melt you can remove the pot from the fire and input the oils.
No ma'am we used glass and plastic containers. Normally we use glass containers when using essential oils, but given they were mixed into carrier oils (i.e. coconut, shea butter) we also utilized some plastic containers.

Awesome tutorial, did you use essential oils and add those to the hot oils on the stove???
Todah Rabah! Yes ma'am we used peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils for the vapor rub and citrus fresh for the lip balm.
@@theremnantfam how hot can the oil get, before the essential oils will not be beneficial because too much heat
