TH-cam thought I should check out your channel, glade I did, very entertaining to watch, had a good laugh watching you ejecting all the junk out of the cab. Just a suggestion on the high engine oil level, several people had suggested water but I'd check for diesel in the oil. Take a sample of oil and place it outside for an hour then take a smell to see if it smells like diesel. I had a JohnDear inline six that had a stuck injector that would leak into a cylinder. Best of luck with your channel.

    • @Ants_Pants

AP, Most track driven machines depend on grease to tighten the track. There should be a grease fitting near the center of the drive to release the pressure to change or re[air tracks the grease is released. To tighten the track pump grease into chamber.

In case it hasn't been said yet (only ~7min into the video), the pony engine also serves to spin the main engine for a minute to a few minutes to make sure all of the main engine bearing surfaces get well lubricated. Doing this with an electric starter would require a much bigger starter motor to keep it from overheating as well as more and bigger starting batteries. Starting the main engine without this prelubrication would cause accelerated wear of many bearings, especially those for the piston rods and crankshaft.

When you go to grease the zirk fittings, and the ones that get alot of mud or dirt in the opening, when your done greasing them, pull back the hose just off the fitting, and give it a few pumps to fill the opening up, and that's enough. That way when you go to grease those ones again, all you have to do is get a standard screwdriver or stick, and swipe the grease out of the way. Doing that makes it so easy to get to those zirk fittings, because the grease doesn't get hard and keeps dirt or mud from getting back in them and getting hard, and have to gouge them out again. Give it a go, and guarantee you will love it and keep on doing it.

16 ton (32,000 lbs) is about the size of a Komatsu D51PX. So it's a really good all around dozer, in the future if you can afford it I would see if you could replace the blade with a Semi U blade with cutting edges that can be replaced when worn out, and since it's pretty much mechanical it should be bulletproof.
Overall a really good choice for a first dozer!

Oh ho ho my friend, make yourself a Gatling gun that shoots BB's, or pellets..... THEN it's not a weapon, it's just fun.
Hook that up to your thermal and motion sensors, and your good to go.
Also that is a really damn good deal on the Dozer, I've been trying to get one myself, but the cheapest I have been able to find in my area (within a few hundred miles) is 15k.
The little chain you cut off, pretty sure that mounts to the anchor point on the fuel tank that you used for the lock. It's used to keep the cover from dropping to the ground and getting lost.

    • @Ants_Pants

Hehe, it reminds me of Andrew, when he started his kanal.. It all started with an old D2 or something if I remember.. You started in 3rd gear.. 😉 Nicey though, it's a happiness that's contageous. I'm sure, there will be projects for it to do, sooner or later. You will figure out all you need, step by step.
Da, it's commonly known that dozers are not good on handling side slopes, while it's absolutely true that nothing works on ice! Maybe a heavier machine can crush it although tracked machines are intended to reduce the ground pressure, so it doesn't sink. Woking on slopes in frozen conditions is unadvisable, unless you can scrape the ice layer and get to unfrozen ground. Anyway it's better to do the job on a nicer time of year. It's the same with the ex. Cheer up, you will have your moment of that priceless sensation. Excelent purchase, apparently good machine condition. 😁👍

PS you can weld spacers on worn sprocket teeth to make them last .
We built up worn sprocket s tracks in NY America on old machines. Also they make alternator belts which can unlink to install . They come apart and can be made any length.
Check final drive gear oil in planetary gears in Yanmar best machines.

      Actually, a good idea

    • @stevehill4615
      @stevehill4615 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@Ants_Pants You shouldn't need to remove the radiator (or fan shroud and associated tinware) to replace the alternator belt, stand by the machine next to the alternator, feed the belt into the shroud and hook it over a fan blade then turn the fan by hand whilst "feeding" the belt into the shroud (turn the fan away from you so the belt goes over the top of the fan) until belt is over fan pulley, then from underneath put belt on the crank pulley finally slacken alternator mounting bolts push alternator in towards engine slip belt over pulley and adjust to get correct tension (rule of thumb is 20mm total deflection possible on longest section between pulleys), I use this method on machinery (such as combine harvesters where removing radiators/fan shrouds is impossible) and it always works, sorry if it sounds confusing but can't give a clearer explanation of how it's done, hope this helps.

In America what we do to clean out a fuel tank is when we clean the inside I use a handful of small 10 mm nuts and put them inside the tank and shake the tank with the cleaning solution and nuts to clean the rust from the inside and then keep rinsing the tank so the nuts scrape off the rust and after take the nuts out and use vinegar to remove the last of the rust. You can also strap the tank to a smaller tractors wheel and shake the tank that way as you drive around. Works great!

    hello👋 from the Netherlands🇳🇱 .
a little late but still happy birthday Andris .
    a nice machine 👍
perhaps place a cap of a spray can over the fuel cap of the pony engine so that no rainwater or moisture can enter the tank through the vent hole in the fuel cap when not in use,
so that your tank does not rust further and water in the fuel comes.
maybe also check the large diesel tank to see if the cap is moisture-tight, it would be a waste of all that good diesel if water got into it .
thanks for the video Andris .
